Is it wrong to use a Chevrolet color on a Ford? I picked the same color as on my Chevrolet dually which is Victory Red. We used a single stage paint because we didnt want it to be too shiny. I am really in love with this color.

Completely acceptable. A friend in high school was a huge Mopar guy and owned a 68 Valiant painted Corvette yellow and a 78 Aspen Supercoupe in Chevy Orange.

We had royalty stop by the car show on Saturday. Bob Heine drove all the way across Florida to come and see us.
From what I've seen, Mark treats all his guests like royalty! My neighbor Ron and I had a wonderful time at the open house and show. Luckily Ron is less forgetful than I so there are actual photos of the event. Rather than fill this thread with them, I posted them to the event thread:

Victory Red?!? That's what my old '92 K1500 was painted. Loved that color on the truck and the fire truck looks fantastic with it.

Would have loved to make it to the show and seen the new shop. Maybe next time.

Keep up the great work.

I wanted to take some time and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. My wife and I are going to head over to Orlando and hang out at the Gaylord Palms hotel. We really need to get away..........my garage hobby turned business is wearing me out:eyecrazy:

Decided to put some new wheels on my dually. I picked up some American Force 22.5 inch semi wheels to spice up the truck a little bit. Hope you like them.:D

Here are two of my nephews who love cruising around with their uncle Mark.

Hey Mark, Happy Christmas to you too:beer:, it was great meeting you a couple months back at G.S.R's :rocker:

Enjoy Orlando & the Gaylord Palms, I know it well, we always stay at the Marriott W.C.R, just across the way from the Gaylord

My wife loves to stay at the Gaylord. It took me a day to wind down. Day 2 was great. I am not so good at this relaxing stuff but it makes my wife happy.

merry Christmas Mark & family

Thank you!

I thought I would bring you guys up to date on the Lambo project. Now it is finished I can talk about it with a little more confidence. :D As it turned out it is probably my favorite project to date. To begin with it was a very challenging job and involved alot of creativity. I have never seen this done before.......yes I have seen bolt on kits..........but there was no blueprint for us to follow (so we had to guess!). It involved teamwork as the entire shop was involved in the process. It also involved a deadline. Yes, Mark made some promises up front without realizing the challenges ahead. It involved dedication and some very hard work........at the end Bob only had 4 days to do bodywork, paint, and re=assembly. This meant working until midnight on Saturday and all day on Sunday. Oh wait, it also involved a budget.......lets just say it was over $10K and last but not least customer satisfaction. Since we were hired by Heffner Performance we had to deliver. These guys are the elite of the Lamborghini performance world. Lets just say when we delivered the car they were over the top happy. Wow, that was a relief!!!

Yeah very subtle but still looks killer!

I had to edit to explain....I mean subtle in a good way. I was worried this would look gaudy but damn.....it does look factory!! Very nice job

Very nice work on the Lamborghini.
Can't even tell you were there and most won't notice unless they compare side by side to another.
It's a lot of work for not a lot of flash but personally I really like these kind of mods.

Mark,
Kudos to you and your team. It's an amazing and subtle transformation. You've set a high bar and the other owners of these cars will be expecting more of this kind of work.

I had to do a before/after post just to be able to see the modification...

I just read the entire thread.

Great build on the Monster Garage and the house!

And congratulations on turning a hobby into what looks like an incredibly successful business in such a short time.

I predict that once images of that Lambo start circling the internet, you will end up doing a LOT more of those. Great job!

You can see the rocker extend out a bit from the "front to back" view of the car. It kind of wraps the rear wheel more than stock. Looks killer!

The work on the Gallardo came out pretty nice.. I don't think most people would ever notice and I'm guessing that's the reason why the work was performed in the manner shown. Curious--is the car being used for "straight-line" fun--or is more work planned on widening the footprint up front too?

When it was a hobby there was little or no pressure. Add the purchase of 12,000 sq ft building, more overhead, more employees, more jobs......yikes what the hell was I thinking!!:dunno::lol:

Great stuff, Mark. Only problem is when I take a few days off and all my fave threads load up a few pages each, then I have to stay up till all hours catching up,
:).

Thank you for making this thread on of your favorite threads. I really appreciate it.

Very subtle indeed! can't hardly tell the difference unless you know it.
Great job.

Agreed. I would think even a ********* Lamborghini expert would have to look it over and have a double take. Plus the fact it is black it doesnt show.

I predict that once images of that Lambo start circling the internet, you will end up doing a LOT more of those. Great job!

I hope so.....$100 worth of aluminum, tig welder, a little paint......it would really simplify projects around the shop
.

I think the rocker panel and top edge of the rear quarter show the difference.

Does this help?

Bob, you are amazing!! You are the man!!

You can see the rocker extend out a bit from the "front to back" view of the car. It kind of wraps the rear wheel more than stock. Looks killer!

Yes I think Bob's illustrations really do a good job of showing the change.

It will be used for straight line fun. Have you checked out some of the videos at www.heffnersperformance.net? Here is a picture of what will be in store for the engine bay.

Never heard of Heffner.. I seem to instantly affiliate all thoughts in my head with the other "Hefner"...
Looks like some neat stuff--packaging of their systems looks clean--although I could rather enjoy the lack of "corporate" appearing advertising on the plenums and intake components..
I'll keep an eye on them occasionally-maybe if just to enjoy the way some people are able to spend their money!! :)

Small company....only a handfull of guys. Your looking at $100K to $150K for their twin turbo systems.:shocking: One client had 3 cars there last time I was at the shop. The client was gettng ready to spend another $500K on a 4 car custom trailer. Sounds fun!

thank you!!:D

Hey guys I just got these pictures of the 66 we finished up last year. These pictures where taken for the Mecum auction in Kissimmee in January. They do look like traditional Mecum photos don't they! It is being sold by the guy we build the car for at Mecum. It will be interesting to see how a BB LS7 with dual quads fares on the auction block. We gave him a choice of an LS3 or rebuilding the BB and he wanted the 454 left in it. Any predictions what you think it might go for??

Thats to bad! After all the work that went into it and the final product being so killer, why's he getting rid of it?

Good guess. We will know soon;)

We did 3 cars for him....the blue 69 Chevelle, gold 41 Willys, and the 66 vette. He sold all of them to one guy who is taking all of the cars to Mecum. He needed to raise money to buy a house on Siesta Key.

You were thinking that you really want to keep playing with cool cars, but you also want to be a good neighbor. So the goodness in your heart has opened the door to more success, a trip to SEMA and a window opening for Lambo projects! As well as time to play with a Fire Truck!!!

Can't wait to see what 2015 will bring!

BTW, I'm thinking $163,000

Hey Mark, awesome thread! The work you put into those cars really shows, you guys at Godspeed are professionals to say the least. I don't have a corvette, but I'd love to come down and hang around with you guys on the 17th! :)
