Mastercool Manifold Gauge Set Question

In the picture linked below, there are two holes in the aluminum block; one on each side of the sight glass behind each knob; what are those for?

The ports next to the gauges are used for hose storage. Just plug the high and low pressure fittings into each side when you're done.

No I don't mean the ports next to the gauges.

I mean the holes on the manifold block. If you look to the right of the blue knob, you'll see a shadow of a half circle. Same for the left side of the red knob.

Fixing holes if the manifold is mounted on a plate or frame. Had a charging station with a vacuum pump, manifold and charging cylinder for domestic refrigerators back when R12 was popular.

I just now found out from a good source that the holes run all the way through the block; purpose unknown.

I would also bet they're for bolts to mount them to a fixture or similar.

I have the exact gauge set. The holes are counter bored for socket head bolts. I imagine it is made to bolt up to a fixture.
