First post on here did a bunch of reading on the Masterforce boxes before pulling the trigger on the 72" for $999. Like other have said the stainless top was "unavailable" at the time of purchase but the menards employee I spoke to did some digging and said to check back around may. Contemplating having a stainless top made, or going mild steel and having it line x'd.. Anyway, awesome awesome awesome box for the price, at least I didn't have to sign away my first born child for a snap on triple bank lol. Sure beats my harbor freight box (which was also a very nice box for the price point just love the grip latch of the MF vs the stupid pull tab of the bigger HF boxes). Time will tell how it holds up but right now absolutely thrilled!

Throw some plywood on there for now...wait for the stainless tops to come back in stock...I don't think you'd regret it.

Good suggestion. Some people also run to a farm supply store like Fleet Farm or Runnings and buy a cattle mat (a large dense rubber mat) and cut it to size. I believe that would work great maybe even as a permanent solution. You will have a bunch of leftover mat material too that can be used for all sorts of stuff. Very handy.

Some of the Masterforce boxes are on sale right now, but not the 72". The 56" appears to be on sale.
