Could you store a car for months on the MJ? yes...put the safety pins in and they take the weight. Not my first choice for storage though.

I did have a slight and probably avoidable issue with mine though: the sides weren't lubed enough/worn enough to be slippery and after removing the engine out the bottom of my car then sitting at 4ft for a few weeks the carriages bound up enough (from the change in CG location and lack of lube from newness) they didn't want to come down again. Generous application of lube and some love taps with a BFH got it moving and haven't had issues since.

I have some very disappointing news to share.:shocking: I just got off a chat on Danmar's website and Gabe (member UPSHIFT) is no longer employed there. He has not posted on GJ for about a month and that is when he got done at Danmar.Do a search and you will see that he was one of the most helpful reps here:bowdown:.A Danmar sales rep is going to contact me directly about group buys in the future...we'll see how that pans out.:dunno:

Were you ever contacted by Dannmar about a GB?

I am interested in getting one of these. What is the best price available? I missed out on the Costco deal, any group buys pending?

I could be in also for a group purchase of a MaxJax.

Are there any picutres of frames made for lifting ATVs, Snowmobiles and a Zero Turn Mower? I am between a Maxjax and Sissor Lift. I can see positives and negatives for each type and will not be purchasing two lifts. My lift will be used 60% for automotive use and 40% for the above mentioned.

Just an FYI, Menards will price match most verifiable internet prices.
I bought mine in march from Menards and they price matched Costco's 1999.00 price.

Why would you do that? Costco will drop it at your door for that price.

Any new sources for a good deal on one of these? I want to purchase one in the next week and missed the most recent deals by 2 days. :(

I bought one in the last group buy and haven't installed it. I am building a new house with space for a full size lift and I am selling the Maxjax for $1900 just to get back what I paid. If you're in or willing to travel to San Antonio Texas, its here. All I ever did with it is unload it from my truck. Brand new.

I'm interested, if there's another group buy in the works.

Beerly,
I'm assuming that you already sold yours, but if you didn't, please let me know.

Thanks,
Jon

I'm definitely in for the GB. I'm new to the forum but have been lurking for a bit for info on modifying my garage. Glad I signed up :)

If there's another group buy, I would likely jump in on it. Buying one within a month or less, would love to get a great deal on it.

Just read through the previous page of this thread, and it sounds like the GJ hookup for MaxJax group buys is no longer there. We might be SOL.

Since Gabe left the company Dannmar hasn't paid any attention to GJ members. perhaps someone could contact them and maybe get the ball rolling again. At least get an answer what they're policy is regarding forum group buys.

If you are buying a used one make sure that it isn't part of Dannmar's MaxJax recent recall. They seem to have it under control now. I had an unusable lift over 4 months (while they had my money) as a result before they got me the replacement parts (which just showed up last week on April 21, 2015; I ordered my MaxJax on December 26, 2014).

Anyone know of another group buy coming up on these? I'm looking to purchase the MaxJax Ultimate Package and may try to call them to see if they'd do another one.

Can you elaborate on this:

Dannmar's MaxJax recent recall

I had not heard anything about this.
