I believe the deal is over. It's $46.something at Amazon now.

lol, I also saw the words:

I thought those prybars looked familiar. Back in days of yore, they cost $20.09

I'm just not seeing the killer deals on Amazon that used to exist.

I've noticed this myself. Past deals were "better" deals. :(

As the economy continues to contract and inflation builds, fewer people will have any appreciable amounts of disposable income. Hopefully, the deals will return soon. :thumbup:

I agree I'm seeing the lower price again now. Odd. It was gone when I looked last time, and I know to look at the other vendors.

It's just as well that the good deals went away. I don't know how many sets of screwdrivers and sockets and pliers I really ever needed.

The one killer deal I'm most sad about missing out on, besides not loading up more on PB Swiss (I got a lot, but should have really gone for it), was the Nepros prices that used to exist. My internal magpie really likes that shiny stuff.

I received a cancellation as well. Ordered last night. My reason was "technical reason". Just went and re-ordered. Used points the first time, tried a credit card this time. Last night it said 19 in stock.

I used a credit card the first time (and was cancelled). I just ordered another set. Amazon should have pulled the ad. Wait and see. Probably another cancellation coming.

My order was cancelled. On top of that (i figured I'd buy some tools from Sears), I went to use some of my Sears SYWR points and placed an order. WIthin 20 minutes they cancelled it. Of course my credit card got charged, take 3-5 business days for the credit. And my SYWR points will take 7-10 business days. This is completely unacceptable.

Why not order from Amazon (proper) then? It's showing $46.34 for me currently, that 7 bucks is surely worth all the hassle you guys have been going through. :)

Strange you guys are getting cancelled as the Amazon site from ToolDeals shows 19 left at $39.00. It showed free shipping but just as I thought when I went to check out there was a $4.00 charge to send to Hawaii. So I decided to just buy from Amazon with free super saver shipping for $46.34. I know I paying $3.34 more than ToolDeals but I thought Amazon would be better if I ran into a problem with my order, and it had to be returned. Mine not such a Hot Deal at $46.34 but we get hit with high shipping all the time. I almost always only buy what amazon sells with Free Supper Saver Shipping. unless a company can, and will be willing, to send USPS. FedEx and UPS kill us to send to or from Hawaii.

I received a cancelation email this morning as well. I called amazon and the lady didn't know why the order was cancelled and just told me to re-order. I did that, we'll see what happens. It still showed the $39 w/ free shipping and like 18/19 in stock today.

5-C is the part number for the 10" bar, and 7-C is the part number for the 12" bar. That Mayhew set is basically the same as the Craftsman Professional set that everyone is trying to complete, only the Mayhew set is cheaper. Guys bought the 3pc Cman Pro set (12, 17, 25) and have to wait weeks or months for the 10 and 31 if buying from Sears cause those sizes are sporadically available online (for example 10" was available a day or two ago, now it's not there but the 31" is).

Received my set today.

Did not come in retail packaging. Just a grey plastic tray with a clear cover, and two generic barcode type labels on it.

No mention of USA anywhere on them either. From what I've seen, Mayhew stamps the shaft with USA. I didn't notice any stamp on the one pry bar I looked at real quick.

I emailed the seller after my 2nd order was canceled this morning. She said their implementing a listing tool that is relishing old items they no longer stock. So not sure if that's a lie since some you have received some items and shipping confirmations. Wasn't there another thread about a mayhew bar missing all the stampings

Kind of reminiscent of the five foot Mayhew bars that a bunch of us ordered some weeks back. They weren't marked either. And they didn't match the catalog images or the website.

I have a recessive forgiveness gene. Once I get burned by an outfit, I never deal with them again.

They cancelled me the second time and didn't even give me a cancellation notice.
