From just a cursory view, it looks like it's just another generic China (PRC) manufacturer (or distributor) of knock-offs of other companies' designs and products.
If the ratchet in this knock-off of Tekton's SKT05301 is anything at all like the other cheapies I've seen that look like that one, it's a *************. (It's a knock-off of the classic PROTO oval-head ratchet
head with a knock-off of Snap-on's
patented handle design, but the action is more akin to one of the old
Indestro pressed-flange models.
I bought a couple of these kinds of kits, solely for the purpose of seeing exactly how cheap cheap **** gets. Complete garbage. I sold both of them at a loss just to get rid of them. (see below)
If you want to go low-end, check out the little Kobalt
5996331 - looks like they're up to $45 right now. I bought two of them for Christmas presents for $20 bucks a pop. Sent one to
@BlakeTheCarGuy - I don't think he was too impressed with it, but you can always take it back to Lowes for replacement or refund - not so much with the generic China stuff. The set is
not worth that $45 asking price - $20 bucks was a great price for a kit that I bought to toss into the truck and not worry about somebody stealing it.
Currently, if you're looking at acquiring a low-budget socket set, you might be best off the drive to Harbor Freight and check out their ICON stuff. The product line overall seems to get favorable reviews, and they seem to have a fairly liberal warranty policy.
and welcome to the site.
