I guess the same conspiracy theory that a John Deere D-series sold at Home Depot is different than the one sold at a John Deere dealer?

Menards sells name brands, and they sell house brands. Obviously a Menards house brand will not be found at Lowes. A name brand model is the same whether it's at Lowes or Menards.

The key to this is to make sure that the part number is the same. If it is the same model number then it should be the same item. I have seen part numbers at Wal-Mart include a WM at the end. Indicating that it is a Wal-Mart "special" item. Even though the item looks the same as the one without the WM.

Depends on the model numbers. The John Deeres at Lowes use to be made by Murray (I think) years ago when we worked on them. I do not know if the cheapest John Deeres at a John Deere dealer are made by a third party or not. I also do not know if they sell the exact models at Lowes and the dealers.

We use to laugh at the cheap John Deeres, they were known as souped up Murrays.

Let's not get into that in this thread - it was just an example. But all John Deere tractors sold at Lowes and HD are the exact same ones sold at the dealers, and they are all made by John Deere.

That's not entirely true, though it may be at Walmart. At Staples for example, they're made with the "S" or whatever tacked on to the end specifically to avoid having to price match. No difference in the computer at all, just a corporate decision.

My point was if the part number is the same, then one can assume it is the same part. If the part number is different, then they may or may not be the same.

MENARDS has JACKS FROZEN PIZZAS 4 for 8.88 - SMOKIN HOT,, thats 2.22 EACH

I literally just bought a Jack's frozen pizza at the local Menards an hour ago and it was 2.50$. That price must be for your local Menards only?

Looks like someone must not do the grocery shopping. Occasionally Menards does have better pricing on candy, but I agree I wouldn't go there specifically for food.

If the zombie invasion happens, I am going to lock myself in a Menard's. :lol_hitti I hope they have soup to nuts. And of course beef jerky and some ethanol free gas so I can run the gennies.

They have a 24" bolt cutter for 7 bucks. Made in china but for 7 bucks its a good deal

x2. Those were free after rebate about a year ago and I got one. Very very nice big cutters. Although China COO, quality was very good. Great deal even at $7. These are my biggest cutters when I need to bring out the big dig. Cut through 1/4" braided steel dog leash in about 1 second clean. - Paul

Looks like the same sale prices they have all the time to me.

Depends what you are looking for I guess. Tool-wise, yeah, not tons in this one. Homeowner-wise, a bunch of stuff I can use cheap. As what I can use isn't likely the same as for you or most anyone else, each has to decide on his own if anything good there or not. - Paul

$8 for gorilla glue is pretty good. $5 for those masterforce grinding wheels is a pretty good deal. And of course, 2.22 for a Jacks Pizza is SMOKIN

That Gorilla Glue is my new favorite since last year. Super Polyurethane exterior glue, only exterior glue I will use now short of epoxy. Great stuff.

Couple things I saw in the dollar ads: Tack Cloth, Respirators with valve, 5/8" roller bearings, the pizzas in one of the ads, MF $10 small pliers set (yes China COO now but cheap enough to try them for the variety there), various household products, cleaners, etc. - Paul

Hitachi saw is back and on sale. Such a great deal. It's rated as a great saw and is $90 everywhere else. I bought it to add to tool collection since I might need it coming up here.

Return and repurchase only if the item is on sale. Rubbermaid shed 7x7 is a great deal today. If I wasn't getting married in less than a month I would buy it.

If I purchased an item a week or two ago, can I get the 11% adjustment? Or will I need to return the item and repurchase? It is still new in the box.

I understand that the manager will make a price adjustment...just bring in your receipt. Menards has one of the best return policy IMO..

I usually buy a can or two of Seafoam during the 11% sale, I use it in all my small engines anymore and Menards has the best price I've seen, even before the 11% rebate.

BTW I bought a Dannmar scissor lift during the last 11% sale and I love it! I can't believe I didn't buy one years ago. It's so much easier than laying flat on your back on the floor...

I really wish they didn't do the the 11% rebate sales so often. The normal sales often price stuff for higher percentages off and I actually save cash money instead of having to spend my savings at Menards two months later.

The last couple of rebate sales I never sent in my rebates so I lost out on about $15 in rebates. I haven't been able to find my envelopes and I keep forgetting to buy more. This is exactly part of why Menards runs rebate sales because they know a lot of rebates will never be mailed in. The rebate sale was not my motivation to buy the items in question.

The best rebate sales have been when the head cashier didn't know not to match a Lowe's 10% off during a rebate sale. Some will deny the Lowe's 10% during the rebate sale and some won't.

Hey Nick, what are the SeaFoam advantages/benefits you have been realizing in the small engines? I've not used this stuff, but thought of it more than once. thx- Paul, small engine hobbyist

Stuff works good on all engines but small engines use very little. Otherwise a pain to get it running again.

It helps clean up any varnish in carbs and injectors. On cars you can put a little bit in your oil to help clean up crankcase but don't run it to long. Just put a 1/3 can in oil, run it for like 10 mins and change oil.

I major in automotive and we use to use it here and there on cars. For motorcycles use very little. I put a 1/3 can and that became a mistake. Had to drain out thr carbs. Afterwards it ran great though and had a better idle.
