No way! It would be destroyed rather quickly. It would soak up water and delaminate.

Ok, thanks! These panels must not be all that good really then. - Paul

They are great for siding, but you don't walk on siding and water doesn't sit on siding. Cedar lap makes great siding too, but wouldn't last as decking.

I was just at menards yesterday and they had a 72" tool box for sale for $599 I believe. I can't remember the name on it but it wasn't masterforce and I can't find it online. Does anyone know what this box was by chance or have any experience with it?
Anybody have any experience owning/using this box? When I checked it out at the store it felt rock solid and the drawers seemed to work great for not having any weight in them at least. The price seems unreal and I could really use a box like this so I might jump on it unless I hear some horror stories. Thanks.
Yup that's the one thanks! They still have one near me. Is it worth 500 or are they junk?
Junk

My brother has one. They are fine for the money. They seem a little light duty. If you want to load it up really heavy or use it daily best to keep looking. If it's for a home garage that isn't going to get a lot of abuse I'd say it's fine. The metal seems a lighter gauge than the better ones but it is half the price.

You've owned one?
Thanks for the reply, this is the kind of info I'm looking for.![]()
Anyone out there recommend a product for covering up existing deck boards in composite? Pros/Cons of it? - Paul
Thanks Joe, I know all about Epoxy and its uses. I started out on GJ doing my own basement wood shop epoxy floor project myself, including hand diamond wheel grinding with my angle grinder myself too! I would be more interested in covering over the top of the existing deck with composite lumber, rather than an epoxy covering, mainly because mine isn't good enough to look good with just an epoxy covering, but is sound enough to just cover over with new. I know they make such stuff but haven't researched it at all yet. I like to start with other's recommendations then research it all myself from there. - Paul
Thanks Ishi, yes, that's the stuff I was thinking of. Has anyone used this or similar? Re-doing the whole deck top in composite is an option, but cost and time are factors. - Paul
The problem with decking is once the underlying boards start to go bad, they have started to go bad. So overlaying it with anything is typically a temporary fix to sell your house, but not really a good solution.
The quick cap I posted yesterday is now $1.60 off on sale, if you are interested in that route.
There is a new Days sale ad out. Those Masterforce wrench rolls I like are Two for $8, about as cheap as they go, around $4 each. China COO. - Paul
Post some pics if you get a chance.....I have 4 I have yet to put to good use.
I would like to see what combo of tools you are using.
Thanks,
