This will be a project for down the road, but I am planning on taking the casters off, dropping them to just off the ground because of their height, and building a Steevo type bench out of them with possibly wrench, piston rod, or some other drawer pull. I am going to rearrange some drawers also creating a cabinet focused on mostly 1 slot height drawers, cabinet focused mostly on 2 slot height drawers, and two cabinets with just 3 slot height drawers. In case you hadn't counted yet, there are 12 slots available in the cabinet. Each cabinet has 2 - 1 slot drawers, 2 - 2 slot drawers, and 2 - 3 slot drawers.

For $266.11 a box, how can you go wrong?

Below is a picture of the ones I brought home as well as some of the inspiration:

Actually not mine, just my inspiration for what I am going to do. In reading a few threads from people who have done it already there are a few options:

Weld studs to the back, but some have struggled with the heat penetration discoloring the wrench on the front.

Drill holes in the back and epoxy/press studs into the holes.

Drill and bottom tap the back and thread studs into the wrench.

... FREE DOGGIE BAGS AFTER REBATE! No limit so I picked up a ridiculous quantity as a practical joke for my sister with too many dogs. On a more interesting note all the Wilde punches are currently on sale.

California Air Tools 5510SE is back on sale again! 149$

They are discontinued and on clearance. There are still a number of stores that show one or more in stock, but I bet some of the stores with only one it is either a display or they can't find it although they are putting aisle numbers on stuff now. One clearance item I only found because of the aisle number. It was actually up top on the overhead.

It was $15 cheaper last week with the 11% sale

Bah I have come to hate the 11% rebates... They... never end up getting sent! I've sworn off buying anything because of the rebates because they never get sent in and then every so often my girlfriend swears that she'll send it in and it would be nice to get a new kitchen faucet and it's cheaper right now with the 11% and I say "No you never send them in we're not buying it because of that." and eventually I cave and we buy it. Then it never gets sent in. Rinse repeat forever.

Yeah my local Menards still has them but they are up top of the racks. I was wondering what they were planning to do with them after that sale in November since at "full price" they aren't competitive with Home Depot or Amazon.

Menards will 111% price match HD, so they are pretty competitive. :)

I don't believe I have ever seen that box at stores in my area. I wonder if it was an abandoned or returned special order.

7" Cobras are $24.27, not too great of a deal, but coupled with the 7" Pliers Wrench, makes a great edc pair.

I was at Sears today and I want to say the pliers wrench is the same or cheaper than the usual Menards sale price, and most people can find a coupon/points/etc. to use on them.

Ishi: Are you sure you mean "plierswrench" above and not "cobras"? The two pack deal of Cobra's at Sears under the Craftsman name are I think the best way to get Cobras cheap, but the actual plierswrenches are not available there in two packs or rebadged as Craftsman, and generally are more cost than Menards sale today, unless you have massive points. - Paul

'nother lame 11% starts Sunday. I'm kidding, it's a great sale if you're doing something big. Just doesn't draw me into the store without a purpose.

Talked to a guy at Menards yesterday. He said don't tell anybody but there's going to be another 11% sale this week coming up. It hasn't been announced yet.

So don't tell anybody.

Heads up was there last night and they had Morse hole saws about 30-50% off depending on which one, plus the 11% rebate.

Please tell me their aren't getting rid of them, it would be sad to loose another good brand from stock. I'm going to have to check that out though, sounds like a deal.

I'm afraid to say, that it appeared as such at first. The tags were red. However, when I rang out, it looks like on the screen the discount was labeled as some sort of sale. Who knows?

The Masterforce hole saws are Made in USA... Might be by Morse.

Masterforce SDS bits are Made in USA. Went to buy some smaller bits from Bosch... turns out they were COO China so Masterforce it is!

honestly i've been impressed with masterforce hole saws. used a few and tore up those few trying to get a deadbolt hole drilled on a steel door... burned them up and skipped around. went to menards and got the masterforce hole saw, ate thru it in a couple seconds. went to the other 2 doors, literally a few seconds on each door and the holes were done. teeth still look new.

New ad starts 4/24
Free after rebate:
Black and Decker 8" bypass prune
Crappy looking multi-bit screwdriver

There's also a 17" magnetic sweeper for $8.99 that kinda looks okay.

They also say in the ad "All Morse saw blades on sale" which doesn't really mean hole saws, but it's there.

Yes, the Masterforce Reciproating saw blades are made by Morse, great stuff. I was hoping for this thread we could better identify who makes what at Menards. Hole saws very well could be Morse, but need someone to verify. Would be good to know who makes the USA MF bits too. - Paul

Yeah. I'm 99% sure they're Morse.

SDS bits are probably TruCut Galaxy. They're in Illinois.
