It doesn't help when the Crescent stuff is cheaper and looks nicer than the MF stuff. If they want to charge a premium they need to provide a premium product not just an American flag. 36 tooth knurled ratchets and satin finished short length wrenches are hard to move next to 84 tooth polished ratchets and long handle polished combination wrenches that are at a lower price.

Now the banners above the hand tools say Masterforce/Gearwrench, and another says Masterforce screwdrivers made in the USA. So it looks like that's how it will be for at least a while.

i've never had a problem with master force tools. the screwdrivers have been great to me, the few i have broken were replaced with 0 issues. i just took back a circular saw i've had for 2.5 years, had a 3 year warranty. it was out of square to the base. she gave me the in store credit to use towards a saw of my choice, so i left with the Bosch circular saw they had on sale for 100 bucks. and i got 11% off the full 100, not just the 30 i had to cover after the warranty defect. not a bad deal. i can't complain about the masterforce line. never used anything battery powered by that brand, however

New Ad out today. Noticed 246 piece drill/drive bit set for $14.99 after rebate, surely China Coo. Good deal for that. And a remarkable earn $1 each one after rebate wiper blade! Can't beat that! Although these are not the greatest blades. Mine squeek a bit in use. That may be OK after they wear in a little. Free matches after rebate. Free Menards made by Hanes T shirts. We really like these alot. My wife often is found wearing mine when she isn't supposed to! - Paul

I wear a menards shirt almost every day. It's sad really.
Before I stated wearing Carhartt work Ts I'd buy a bunch of Tractor Supply logo shirts when they'd have them on sale for like $5. Now I just buy a bunch of Carhartts when Rural King has them on sale.

Do the Menards shirts fit and wear well? I might buy some for painting and stuff.

With all the rebates going on right now I bet it will take months. They got so far behind a couple of years ago I took all my business to Lowe's. I even bought a couple of hundred in gift cards there for people. I think they were about 4 months behind then. I really have a strong preference for Menard's but it was getting to the point I felt they were doing intentionally to get past holiday spending.

They are basically Hanes, but comfortable to wear and pretty thick fabric. I like them alot. I use them as work shirts mainly or around the house. It is *really* fun though to put one on and then go shopping at Lowes or HD. Test their people to see how nice they will be to you wearing these! - Paul

When I go to menards wearing one I almost always have someone ask me a question. Generally I don't bother telling them I don't actually work there since it's easier and quicker to just tell them the answer. After all, I generally know where everything is just as well as the employees.

Do you wear blue shirts to Menards? I made the mistake of wearing a red shirt to Target once. Never again!

That's funny. When I go there and happen to be wearing one, no one even considers asking me any question! It may be more how friendly you appear to be vs. your shirt Bimmer! :eyecrazy: - Paul

Looks like I'll have to try some of the shirts next time they're on sale.

Has anyone received their Menards rebates from July? I'm still waiting.

Hmm, I looked mine up on the Rebate Center and it doesn't even show as being submitted.

5066 and 5076 that were submitted in July was issued on 8/11 for me and I received it a week or so later.

They were due 7/9 and 7/16, so they probably got mailed around 7/7.

I went to our local ACE Hardware wearing a Menard's shirt once. One of the employees tried giving me grief, and I told him if ACE would give out free shirts I would wear them also.

Hee hee. I went to HD with mine on. The helper person lady said to me: "How can I help YOU?"

She gets a "B" rating. It could have been much worse! But she clearly was not totally pleased!  :rocker: - Paul

I still say those Jack's pizzas are DOG GONE GOOD

The trick is to cook them on an open rack and get them good and crispy. A little garlic powder and oregano before cooking takes it a little further. I don't know why those cheap pizzas are so much better than more expensive ones.

Even better is to pile on top yellow summer squash or zucchnini, an extra 3 or 4 tomatoes, green peppers, a few extra onions, chives, and marjoram, which is in the family of oregano but not oregano. I use marjoram like salt and pepper on any veggies. Oh and lots of extra cheese. And hot peppers too. The pizzas by themselves are not much, but do make a great platform to build a great pizza from. More places need to carry marjoram spice as it is somewhat hard to find. Those with Ollies nearby can get the giant size "Italian Spice Blend" which has lots of marjarom in it. :rocker: - Paul

Guess I'm not sure of the question. If you lost your receipt, I think you are out of luck on the rebate as you must send in the rebate section of the original receipt. But talk to Menards and see if they can help you. Maybe they can print another one for you - don't know. - Paul

Taking advantage of the 11% to order materials to build my lean-to off the barn.

Me too. And using all my past 11% rebates at the same time. So far, $500 worth of lumber has cost me $211. I need some more but gonna wait until Saturday to see if next week is 11% also.

Everyone I've asked has said that only the original receipt will be honored.

they keep them behind the counter of the check out area here, i just ask for one.

i suppose my question is i know the adjustment form says original receipt only, but has anyone sent one in for the 11% ADJUSTMENT (not the actual 11 percent rebate) and still got their money? i don't see how it would be an issue as everything seems to be tracked through the bar code on the receipt

I bought all the sizes I was missing. Mediocre quality at best. Lots of chips in the cutting edge.
