I don't need them often, I was going to pick one up a couple weeks ago buy for the amount of use the cost wasn't worth it but with these it give me the option to pick up a few for the odd times I'll use them. Thanks for the comments

I might have to look next time I'm in a Walmart. I have a 1/4 Gearwrench set I've never used but I'm about to have to rebuild the front end on two cars over the winter. That was the one instance that I thought it might be really useful.

I just went to a garage sale in a not poor area. They had several of the Menard's FAR and very cheap AR stuff there. I found that amusing. The safety glasses were $175. The hammers $8. Ponchos $2. I wonder how many people do this.

Anyone know if the 46" MasterForce tool cabinets ever go on sale? Trying to decide between the 41" and 46".

Yes, bought mine on sale, seems like they cycle thru every size during the year for a sale.

I was torn two and ended up going 46 cause i liked the symetrical drawer sizes.

Any idea as to what the sale price was? Wondering if it would be worth waiting for the next sale.

I seem to find a garage sale about every other week that is selling their Menard's freebies. Usually a few different items, usually no sign of sales. I tend to think that people who go to garage sales are a little more cost savvy and know about the ads. I've actually sold a couple tape measures or something like it, but because I've got too many, and I only charge a quarter. Usually the garage sales want full price.

$469 is sticking in my head. Will have to see if i can find the manual, i put the reciept in there. And it was 2 or 3 years ago, so not sure how pricing has changed.

Our local auction usually has some Harbor Freight multimeters or similar **** in them. Last one went for $6 that I saw. Plus 10%, plus 3.5% if you use a card, plus tax...

9 AA batteries? Check out BudgetLightForum.com and move up to lithium 18650 batteries and never look back ;)

This!! I picked up a couple Convoy s2+ and one of the BLF A6 flashlights last year and I couldn't be happier. Makes other lights I have look like a joke and the most expensive of the 3 was the A6 @ $25. The BLF A6 is 1600LM!!

3200 lumen LED shop light $5.00 off. That puts it at $19.99. The performance shop light is $17.99 and needs two bulbs, making this a better deal if you like it.

I bought 5 and replaced some of my existing fluorescents... the color and brightness are awesome. I think it's pretty much the ideal color for a shop. I'll be going back to buy a bunch more. Light output is very comparable to the twin T8's they replaced.

2 questions:
#1. Is there a way to figure out when the next 11% sale will be?
#2. Going to buy materials for a complete garage build (24x30), do you think waiting for an 11% sale is worth it, or are products cheaper (onsale) not during the 11% sale a better deal.

You should also price out the option of getting the materials at home depot from the pro desk (they can bid out for the materials) and they also match the 11% Menards Rebate.

I have priced things many times and generally an actual sale will beat the 11%, however everything you need is never going to be on sale at the same time. Since menards regular price is almost always lower than there competition it makes the 11% the most efficient method of getting a great deal. The very best is when what you are buying happens to be on the 11% flyer. Stacking sale price and 11% rebate is fun.

From several people I've talked to, the Amish can provide you with far better quality materials and usually beat Menard's prices. Not sure if you have any Amish suppliers locally or not, but if you do you might want to look into it.

Watch the dates on the sale flyers. Their sales usually go from Sunday to Sunday for
1 or 2 weeks. If the sale ends on a Saturday there's usually a 11% sale starting on
Sunday.

11% off sale starts tomorrow. I took advantage of the sale prices today knowing that I can go back next week and grab their 11% price adjustment rebate form that applies to the week prior to the 11% off sale. The 11% price adjustment rebate form is available in store only, not through their online rebate form center.

Do you just ask at customer service for the 11% adjustment form?

Thanks,Ben

Yes

To get the 11% Price Adjustment Rebate, simply go to the rebate counter in any Menard’s store and ask them for an 11% Price Adjustment Rebate form. This form is available during an 11% rebate sale week. Unlike the 11% Rebate form, the 11% Price Adjustment Rebate form is not available online, and must be picked up in store.

On time I asked and the customer service clerked looked at me like I wanted her to put Spock's brain back in. Guess you gotta find the right person to ask.

This is what I did the last two times the 11% sale was going on. Rebate tracking doesn't show any update for either and the Price Adjustment form does state that any sale priced items are not eligible (I think sale priced items get starred with an asterisk on the receipt). Just waiting on mine to see if they get issued or not.

Rebate form states "only applies to products purchased at full price". I suspect they will automatically screen your sale priced items out. John is no dummy.
