It's a screaming deal for sure. A few posts above the original post a member bought what looks to be a 3/8" set, which made more sense with the $20 after rebate price.

I double checked the link and it's definitely a 1/4" AND 3/8".

Last night I tell my girlfriend we should go hit up Menards for some of these Menards Days deals. I go and find the sign for these Gearwrenches and I grab what I think is the right box.

This one. I think wow they also have an even bigger set but it's probably way more. Do the rest of the shopping, grab a Tractor Time with Tim shirt, get to the register. Pay. I look at the receipt as we're walking out and "Hey, there's no rebate on the receipt for the GW set??". We go up to the service desk and say this didn't ring up right. The woman looks through the sale ad and says "You bought the wrong one, you want the BIG one." Dumbfounded, I go back and sure enough the sign is for the huge set not the tiny one, even though the actual sign is not lined up with them. We do a quick swap, I get my 15$ credit back and we're on the way. The deal is definitely on the 3/8" + 1/4" set. If you buy the 3/8" only set, it's 15$ more BEFORE rebate.

I don't care about list price, what amazon charges, or anything else other than the usefulness and value of the set. My point was simply that compared to the craftsman set which was about $35 on perpetual sale when I bought it, and is clearly made in the same factory as sockets are identical other than name and everything works together, this is a "meh" deal at best. The case is bulkier, their is a smaller size range of sockets, the craftsman set even comes with hex and torx. Buy what you want, I couldn't care less.

That doesn't even appear to be sold anymore, and the sale prices on similar sets are nowhere near $35. Or am I crazy?

A deal from years ago that's no longer available doesn't really make this a bad deal...

Does anybody know if the 11% will continue next week? I need to buy a water heater and want to know if I should just bite the bullet now.

Buy it now if you need it next week. If you don't need it, then wait.

I don't need it immediately, but will very soon. I'd like to buy it right at the end of an 11% rebate so that I have as long as possible of regular sales to hope it goes on sale for a price match (if the sale beats 11%).

I know that if an ad ends on Saturday it's usually followed by an 11% week, but I'm not familiar with any tips to know ahead of time if that 11% sale is being extended.

Last week (4-9 thru 4-15) was a "regular" sale flyer.
This week (4-16 thru 4-22) is the 11% sale.
For the last year or so, seems like Menards has been doing two weeks in a row when they have their 11% thing happening, so I'm guessing you'll have another week to think about it.

No 11% sale next week.

Spring catalog starts Sunday and runs until may 7th.

Clearance $88. So far great little chainsaw. Took out some 5" trees and weeds and it really came in handy installing some 4x4 - 6x6 treated gate and fence posts.

Has anyone noticed that it is taking Menards longer and longer to mail out the 11% rebates" With Lowes, I get them in a couple of days via email but with Menards, the last one is going on 6 weeks now...

This has been the case in 2017. In prior years, Menards rebates were processed very fast and receiving the rebates in less than 4 weeks. Don't know why this change.

Probably because they've had 4x as many 11% off sales as years previous.

How do you get the Lowe's ones? I can't get them to match Menards, unless it's changed recently.

The bins are regularly free after rebate, I probably have three hundred or so.

Likewise, I have hundreds of them. Until recently, they were free after rebate but lately, they have been either $0.06 or $0.09 (I can't remember which) after rebate. Just finished sorting hardware a few weeks ago and noticed that over the years, they've had 3 different variations of them, including 2 noticeably different heights.

Bummer. The fine print specifies that the rebate is only valid on purchases at specific stores.

Bought the $19 one and it is plenty bright for putting in lid of toolbox.

Are those ribs any good? I've seen them in the freezer case before and wondered.
