Delta Cruzer 12" miter saw $499, $50 mail in, plus 11%.
I got one. Feels comparable in quality to the dewalt and Bosch, utilizes a hinge system and feels 5-10 times smoother and more rugged than the Hitachi. Glad I held out and saw this. Lowes has it for $650
Brand new Delta cruzer miter saws are down to 349$,399$ (10",12" respectively) and come with free delta stand (decent quality). I played with the saws in person, very impressed at that price.
These are "new lower price " so no telling when/if it will go back up.

Incorrect- lowes is cheaper and comes with a stand

Seems a lot of people are looking for these led shop lights. I was in Menard's yesterday and I seen these, if they were in the ad i completely missed it. I pick up a couple of them to try out. Don't see anything about them being link-able so I assume they are not. 16.99 isn't a bad price though and my garage setup I don't need them to be link-able. Sale is over on the 24th.

i was considering going to LED's to replace my 6 shop lights but 2 things stopped me..
i have the 6500k daylight bulbs in my fluorescent fixtures, each bulb is rated at 2850k, or 5700k output. they are 32 watt bulbs so using 64 watts total. the LEDs i was looking at were like 5000k and used 50 or 59 watts... so whats the real advantage? you're not saving much in energy, and the light output is inferior (given it's a different color of light, but still)
am i missing something?

Are you mixing the light output with the color temperature? 2850K is Tungsten and 5700K is Daylight color balance. Those are not measures of how much light they put out. They are measures of how warm / cool the light is.
The measurement of light output will either be in Lumens or Lux. LED will give you more light output (lumens) for the same wattage as fluorescent. For example, an incandescent bulb has a given output and draws 60W. A "60W Equivalent" CFL will draw 23W. A "60W Equivalent" LED will draw 9W. All three lights have the same amount of output but the LED is more efficient. They all put out an "equivalent" light output to a 60W bulb. Now, if you get a LED that draws 60W, it will output WAY more light than a 60W incandescent would have because so much of the energy goes to heat with a tungsten filament. If you buy the same wattage lights in LED vs Fluorescent you should get more light. If you buy the same light output the lights will be the same brightness but use less power.
my apologies, 2850 lumens per bulb, 2 bulbs, 5700k lumens, vs less on the LED. basically i was getting at, to me, the cost to upgrade wouldn't be worth the energy savings nor losing a small amount of light output.
to get to at least 5k lumens or more, i'd have to spend 30-40 bucks a fixture, i have 6 right now, so i'd be spending 200 dollars replacing them to get about the same light output, and the energy savings isn't much (48-50 watts vs 64 on what i have)
no knocking the LED shop lights, just trying to understand where it would benefit a lot.
ironically, the small shop lights and the larger, brighter ones both say "as bright as a 3 bulb fluorescent" which i'd love to find out how, maybe very soft white bulb, even then you'd be talking 6k in lumens
For me the advantage was they always turn on, instantly, at full output, even when it's cold. Also, hopefully I will never have to replace them again.

Noticed today that Dutch Boy paint is on sale as well as $10 per gallon rebate, which makes it a great deal. I've painted two rentals lately with the stuff and been satisfied.
I have a green 56" lower that I'm thinking of upgrading to a new 72" lower. Good shape, West Central WI. It's the model without the raise and release latch. In case you want to roadtripI have an older 56" green chest that I bought on clearance a few years ago when the raise & release drawer latch system was first introduced. I was hoping to get a "matching" 56" cabinet on clearance whenever there was another redesign, which seems to have already happened, or is underway, but I missed the boat on being able to get the green variant shipped to store.
There is a black cabinet that is local to me, or I could "drive" to a store that has a green cabinet in stock.
I wonder if my older chest would work with the latest 24" cabinets.

I do rebates all the time, and the only rebate that ever came back and bit me was the Dutch Boy rebate. Several years ago they were running a rebate and i submitted it,, 4 mths later they send me a letter stating the products I bought didn't qualify. Never again will I buy Dutch boy

They are quite a few in stores between Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois as well.
I would think so they look to be exactly the same design, but 6 inches deeper and other than you'd have a 6 inch ledge.
Anyone know if the same company is still making the Masterforce boxes? In the past, they were being manufactured by these guys, http://www.qualitycraft.com/, who made many different brands of toolboxes.
I got a good deal on the chest when they were clearing those out. I think I paid $299. I was hoping to get a comparable deal on a discontinued cabinet, but that probably ain't happening.
Who makes the master force hand tools ?pliers, screwdrivers, etc..
