Here's a shot of mine. I need to get another top box to match the bottom. The Menards that I go to only has the 41" boxes.

I am lucky to have a Menards, Lowes and Sears tools within throwing distance of each other. For the money, you can't beat the MasterForce box (I got the 36" top and bottom). It must weight 100 lbs more that the comparably priced one from Sears. About 315lbs total.

I have the 56 inch box! I love everything about it except for the MN winters and an unheated pole barn, the drawers are hard to open

I too want the 56 eventually :) I have the 26” chest right now and love it, the only downside is it has no deep drawer, which means all my deep well sockets have to lay down. Not a huge deal, but an annoyance. Once i get the rollaway to go under it it’ll be less so :)

I love the main drawer. I keep all sockets on pegs standing up. Plenty of room!

Picked up my 56" combo last week. Was looking for the past 6 months for a big box. Damn nice box for price, the only problem is that It's full already :(

Has anyone been able to closely match the color with an off-the-shelf rattle can?
I picked up a few HF accessories and would like to repaint to match the green.

I went to harbor freight to get the magnetic paper towel holder for my masterforce box and then i went to menards to see if i could get a good match for spray paint. I didnt feel confident enough in the colors of green that i found in the paint sprays, so i just did a satin black and i thought the black looked good against the green.

Well I made it to Menards but still didn't get another top box, but I did pick up another side box while I was there. I think next trip will be the top box and that should finish things out. Or at least hopefully it will finish things. I'm starting to believe that I may just have too much stuff vs. not enough storage, but nothing wrong with that I guess. :lol_hitti

I forgot too mention that when I picked up the side box, it wasn't on sale but I did get an 11% rebate on it along with a couple of other items I bought. One week later I get a voucher in the mail for $36.21 to spend at Menards. WhooHoo!!! Every little bit of change helps.

That is a nice setup you have! Do you have pics of the stuff in the drawers on here somewhere? Would love to see a fully loaded setup like that!

I have mine set up this way at work. I absolutly love this box! Have had to use the warranty once. One of the slides wasnt working the way I wanted it to. I took them the drawer, they gave me a new one. I could not recommend this box enough! Have had it four years, and it takes the beating I give it every day!
Also, I like the fact that you can lock the drawers and stil keep the lid open...

I was noticing today that the Masterforce 56 inch box looks to be the same box as the RXE Extreme box, just different color. The delivered price is about what a person would pay at Menards after tax, within a hundred dollars anyway. Does the masterforce 56 inch box have any reinforcement under the longer drawers?

They've had side cabinets for quite some time...several people in this very thread have posted pictures of rigs that have them...

Edit: wait, or do you mean CABINETS, like open a door and have shelves cabinets?

I don't think they sell "cabinets" but they do have the side boxes with the drawers. I just looked it up on Menards site.

On a side note they are now advertising the 56" on their site which they did not do before. The 56" roller is $699 and the 56" box is $499 http://www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/tool-storage/tool-chests-boxes/c-9188.htm BTW..the side box is marked down to $199. It used to be $249

Here's a picture of my 56" with two side boxes. Sorry for the dust and the crappy cell phone pics, we're in the country and it's harvest season, I can't keep the dust off anything at the moment.

The second picture shows that the 56" box is actually deeper than its counterparts, and therefore the side box doesn't line up quite right. It's ok for me, but if I had a row of them, I would make do with the smaller sizes so that it were more like a cabinet.

Finally, I like the 56 a lot, but even with the two side cabinets it's full. I may get a 36" next because i like the wide thin drawers.

anybody have those boxes I have been looking at them also?

The green ones are not very good for shop use. We have one at our shop and most of the drawers warped and a few broke after a few years of med duty use. The drawers do not have individual latches either which is not a good combo with loaded drawers and low resistance sliders. (we can only have the toolbox pointed in certain directions or else all of the drawers will open due to slightly sloped floor)

http://www.menards.com/main/tools-h...-boxes/36-roller-cabinet/p-1457697-c-9188.htm

I took ours back and swapped it out for a brand new one. Good customer service, not so good product.

My boss has one and a co-worker has two of the black 26 performax boxes that "click" closed. They seem to be decent and a pretty good value.

http://www.menards.com/main/tools-h...ax-tool-cabinet-8-drawer/p-1458876-c-9188.htm

I think these would be sweet for your home garage, but not as much in a heavier duty environment. I definitely do not like them as much as my craftsman ball bearing grip latch 26" combo that is now about 8 years old and totally overloaded and overworked.

Any Spec's for total load capacity on either the 41" or 56" bottom boxs??

Looks like they are saying 100 lbs per drawer - but then some drawers have two sets of slides?

FWIW,

i was at my local menards store to buy more floor rugs that cost 7 dollars (4'X3') i just use it to put on my snap on toolboxes as liners. so i dont make stratch or make tools moving when i closed the drawers... it is handy for me... but i was looking around the menards and found new GREEN toolboxes as MasterForce toolboxes. it is looking nice and it is cheaper than Craftsman as price. i was surprised that it is Lifetime Warranty on that toolboxes.... :headscrat :wtf:

My boyfriend has the Green masterforce tool boxes. The green looked better than any other color I thought. Was this new to you at your menards that they started selling Green masterforce toolboxes?

Yea, I knew about the limited lifetime warranty, because he needed a new lock as his lock broke. It took forever to get here thou. When I called to talk to the customer service lady she was like mexican and i couldnt really understand her much. This was about a year or so ago. I kept repeating things. I was voluntered to call because someone else didnt want to call and talk to the people....:) I can tell why now because he would have been more frustraded that what I was.

I've been looking at that set as well and so far am rather impressed. I have a Craftsman box now, but would have to look very seriously at the green box at Menards. And green is my favorite color, so I am likely the oddball out here that would love a green box set in my workshop.

You're not as strange as you'd think. I love my green chest, can't wait to pick up the matching rollaway.

In that vein: has anybody else seen the "limited edition" black 37" rollaway and cabinet some of the stores have been getting? Its black, with green trim and handles, grip latches, and one of those funky lids on the chest like all the Kobalt boxes at Lowes have, i can't remember what they call it.

They look pretty bad ***, and are a pretty slick deal if you can find them.

I was in the Lafayette, IN south Menard's yesterday and they had this set on sale for $837 (I think thats the correct price). It is a pretty cool looking box that seems to be pretty well built (Manf. in Canada). I did wonder if there is any way to expand this set (matching side cabinet, mid-box, etc...). I think this is a closeout sale as I remember these sets being offered last year for a limited time.

LOL, I just moved from West Lafayette this summer to Seymour. I spent many hours in the West Lafayette store (I lived literally across the highway from it) and a lot of time in the Lafayette one as well.

I just spotted these this summer at the Columbus store. The biggest advantage I can see with them, beyond the grip latch, is that they are a better compromise between the 26" and 41". The lack of a long deep top drawer on the 36" rollaway was a deal breaker when I was buying my chest. I ended up going shorter as I had neither the money nor the room for a 41".

I just wish Christmas would hurry up and get here so I could get my rollaway :-\ I'm completely out of room.

Can anyone tell me if these Master Force boxes have dual ball bearing slides on the bigger drawers or not? That seems to be about the only deciding factor between this box and the HF tool box.

It depends on the box; i think the deeper drawers on the 41" and the 52" have them, but I'm not sure about the 36". Same goes for the 26", but I'm almost certain I saw doubles on the lowest draw on the floor model in our local store.

To be specfic, On the 41" box, the top full width drawer and the two drawers on the very bottom are the ones with dual slides.

The 36" does not have them.

Well guys, after driving myself crazy doing research for the last week, I think I have finally decided on a box. I was going to get the truck brand box, probably snap on if I could find another here, but after looking through and seeing the reviews on Montezuma boxes I was pretty torn. Then, found that the montezuma and masterforce (Menards box's) were made by the same factory apparently, and after looking at the two of them, I would be hard pressed to believe that they arent. Anyhow, looking online at menards.com, I can get a 56 inch, 11 drawer master force box pictured here:
QCI_245-1782_56in_tool_cabinet.jpg

and a 16 inch side cabinet, pictured here:
QCI_245-1784_16in_side_cabinet.jpg

for 853.20 shipped to my local store for pickup. Really cant beat that price, and that will also give me a 72" work bench surface as well. Tonight, Im going to go to Menards and check them out again before I place my order. I can get past the green color (it really doesnt bother me, and honestly, much prefer it over standard red). I might even go stand in one of the 41" drawers, just to see how that fairs. Im 320 lbs, so would be a good test.
