Any opportunities to buy tools on clearance? I did some Google and didn't see any sales.
Any idea if there will be grinders clearance out for the branding changes?

Just want to bump this to see if anyone has identified any sales or clearance due to name change? I have searched couple times but found nothing

A few Metabo 18v tools are a bit cheaper at Acme:

But no “want to buy in on a dying battery platform super cheap?” crazy deals.

Some accessories too. I picked up some vacuum filter bags:

The next Euro trade show CAS is attending doesn’t mention Metabo either.

One of the major Metabo retailers here (Europe) was out of stock of all but a few Metabo models a few weeks back. When I asked, they said they didn't know when they'd be getting more. Now the Metabo brand page has been removed from their website.

Two of the other big retailers have between a quarter and half of listed tool models in stock.

I recall when Hitachi bought Metabo (or was it vice versa?) that Hitachi started calling their tools Metabo HPT, and that the "good" Metabo would remain Metabo. Well, I was checking out the Metabo website and it looks like in the USA, all tools are now going to be Metabo HPT. It says everything else will remain the same, so I guess there will be two types of Metabo HPT batteries? The rest of the world, they'll remain two distinct brands.
If you really like the dark green Metabo, then consider buying now.
Private equity in action.

"Hitachi" didn't start calling their tools HPT. A private equity firm bought Hitachi's tool division from Hitachi Koki. That private equity firm already owned Metabo.

Thus the co-branding.
