I did this recently on the floor in a party room / bar in a lake house. I'm really happy with the texture and appearance!

I used Key Resins Copper color - I used MEK for the texturing. I'll use something else next time I expect, as aerosolized MEK is no fun to be around.

Saw this up close a few days ago - trust me it looks even nicer in person!

It has a depth that doesn't come across in a picture, real cool effect.

Any of you flooring guys do work in Chicagoland?

Or know of a reputeable company that performs this type of application?

Its like pulling teeth trying to find someone. Everyone around here just does acid staining and regular epoxy.

the pic looks like it was taken as soon as it was sprayed. Do you have pics of it after it healed itself a bit?

Actually, the pics were taken the day after the installation, just before I put the urethane on.

I timed it when I was doing the application and waited until a full hour after I did the mix to put the MEK texturing on. I think that helped it 'stick'.

I think I'll try something a little less volatile and noxious than MEK next time.
