Stretch-22, my garage door is textured and it did not make a difference.

'Cuda got a stable mate for Christmas. This will be my daily driver now as the 'Cuda is gutted and getting refitted with new wires, insulation, carpeting, gauges and new dash pad.

Your Cuda must be in great shape as my car would be marking its territory and showing the 'vette who is boss. Congrats on the new car and there are many worse DD's you could have chosen.

I appreicate all the kind words boys and girls.

Shortykorte-I laid out diameter of the circle I wanted to have on the door. Then using a verticle tandem line at the upper quadrant of the circle, I plotted the distance to the point where the "M" ended. Then drew a line from that point to the center of the circle. Repeat on the opposite side, remove everything below those lines and you have the Mopar "M" laid out.

Mick: the difference between post #26 and #81 is amazing. not just because you added another car either. you mentioned that cleaning or restoring the old Race Deck wasn't easy, but not how you managed to make it shine. do tell?

keep up the great work and pictures and i'm sure others will like them as much as I (we) do.

here's to a great 2016

Wow! Outstanding home and garage/shop! I love the work you did with the old brick exposed on the interior wall, very cool! Every time I read a garage build thread, the more I'm amazed with all the unique and creative visions members here share!

Awesome thread. Beautiful home, garage & Cuda! The craftsmanship of everything is excellent! Your house could be featured on an episode of extreme homes and your Cuda looks like a car from the Ron Pratte collection (awesome). BTW for those of you non-car guys Ron Pratte owns only the finest caliber investment grade cars. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Thanks guys, my garage is not as large as many here and actually smaller than my last shop which was 2800 sq. ft. but this is my favorite. It is comfortable to work in and is just a cool place to have a cold one and hang out in.

Dominico- Thanks for the lavish comparisons, I am blushing and humbled.

Hello All,
It has been several months since I posted anything new in the 'Cuda Cave but my final missing link has returned so I thought I would share.
I have owed this Vendo 57 coke machine for over 20 years and can't begin to estimate how may pals have come over, picked a dime from the small bowl on top, inserted it, turned the handed, opened the door and retrieved a ice cold adult beverage for their enjoyment.
It was really showing it's age when we moved so I decided to take it to a guy about two hours from me that restored all the machined in the coke museum here in my town.
I told him I was in no hurry and to do the machine just as though it was his and he planed to use it daily.
Fast forward 17 months and it back in the spot designed for it originally.
I can't begin to say what a fantastic job he did, it looks like I picked it up from the factory.
So, here are a couple shots of it and as I tell all my pals when they ask about a dime beer......enjoy my friend.

The only thing I had not thought to buy was the original size coke......go figure. lol

MICK: WELCOME back and hope you post more cool pictures of your stuff when you have time. i just read a thread where a member picked up almost an identical Coke machine (or it looks close to my eye) and since his is farm fresh i can't believe the difference. WOW you sure did find the right guy to restore it. WELL DONE SIR!!

I hope your health and family is doing ok and maybe you can post up more pictures on your thread and maybe find other threads of interest to lend your wisdom or maybe learn something.

thanks for the pictures of your absolutely amazing garage and looking at mine i need to get out there and keep ORGANIZING cause i have a lot of STUFF.

cheers

Thanks for all the kind words guys, they are truly appreciated.
It has been funny, but I have someone call me almost weekly to see if they can bring a friend over to see the shop.
It turns out that being able to share it with others, who appreciate it, is the largest reward.
I am very pleased with the end result but I am, and have always been inspired by many of the different garages I have seen on this site.

Mick: i'm bumping your thread up to the top so others can see some of your cool garage. also wondering if you might have any more updates and pictures to share. do you?

how are those cold cokes tasting? i bet pretty good and even better if you have 1930's to 1950's Coca Cola that really was the REAL THING.

cheers

Thanks for the bump on this thread, I had not seen it before. WOW. Mick, you have truly honored your Mopar! The 340 Cuda was one of my dream cars when i started driving in 1978, but it was too expensive. I still gets pangs of longing and yours is fantastic! I love the garage, and among all the details and the petroliana, I am particularly in love with the large Texaco sign! And I love the refurbish on the Vendo 57, it looks very well done (I have a reconditioned Vendo 81 and the lever action and release mechanisms are almost like therapy, they are so satisfying!)

Hello all,
I've had many ask me to post progress on the 'Cuda, I call "RedFish".
Here is the latest picture with the new wheels and tires. I will post some more of the engine an d interior shortly.

All suspension, wiring, gauges, interior, radiator, and brakes has been replaced to this point.
