Micro Knipex to small ?

Do those that have the Knipex micro(86 03 125 ..5") plier wrench find it to small and wish you would have jumped up to the "6" (83 03 150 )size . I've ordered the 7" and 10" ,,looking to add a smaller size for now....

I almost got the 5" Cobras when I saw it in the mini set with the 6" Pliers Wrench. But since I couldn't actually see myself wearing the belt pouch I just bought 6" Pliers Wrench and 6" Cobras separately. Both are small enough to still fit in a pocket. And the the 6" Cobras give me 20% more power/range over the 5" size (same math applies to Pliers Wrench).

If I need a really small adjustable wrench I use my ChannelLock 804 which is the 4" size (actually 4-1/2" tip-to-tip). They are made by Irega in Spain, re-branded for ChannelLock, and are quite nice, though pricey, for a 4" adjustable. At the plant I work at there was a square head bolt in a tight spot I couldn't get my 6" Pliers Wrench on. So I put my ChannelLock 4" adjustable on it, and used the 6" Pliers Wrench as a cheater so they were both pretty handy.

If i didn't have my channel locks, YES.
I started with the 6" dikes as an electrician. Had to need to go to the 8". I had the needle nose with the built in strippers (and had them taken at a job) but liked them so much I will replace them. I have the 5" cobra pliers and use them for tight locations. Otherwise I use my channel locks 10" or larger. I do love the quality and will save up for a set of larger knipex pliers since everything else is chinese.

Since you can't take tools longer than 7 inches on airplanes in the USA, smaller versions of various tools, while limited in their utility, are useful for some members of the air-traveling public

I bought a 5" pliers wrench for the head size -- 4mm wide? Something like that. The length is too short, IMO. If I could get a 7" long pliers wrench with that tiny head, that's what I would have bought. Look at the head size when you pick which to buy.

I use the 6" pliers wrench daily, sometimes at min. capacity and sometimes at almost max. capacity. It handles 99% of what I need it for. It all depends on what sizes of fasteners/fittings you work with.

I carry the 6" mostly. Tool bag for working on this out on the trails.

I wish Knipex would make 8" Cobra too.

Then the 6" Cobra would be a good step down size rather than 7"

Since that is not the case, I have 5" Cobra as a step down from 7" which seems rather small to me.
