What kind of recycling operation do you go to that has flat stock, angle iron, and plate out and ready to go? I've been paying $1.40/lb to a fab shop for their leftover materials. Not cheap, but way less expensive than going to Alro

First street recycling in dayton OH. they are attatched to a dump/ scrap yard with a lot of industrial scrap, they sort it out and organize it really nice and also offer new metal. last trip was $0.51/lb.

Wow, that might be worth the trip for me. I have a decent sized project coming up and it would be nice paying that much

Downside is it’s a tossup as to what your going to find in the long pieces and they price those different. The 1” square tube for the go kart was $15 per 20’ stick. Only needed 24’… brought home 80’

so the 67lb struts worked out once it was all loaded up, the new ones ran a day late and didnt show up until after we left. but it still worked pretty well.

will be ordering some 1" webbing and quick releases to tie it down. swap in the lighter struts and a little more fine tuning on the pivot points to try to tighten it up some.

So back in September I gave up on the bilstein 6112 shocks I ordered back in Dec of last year and ordered a set of 5100's and finally got my 33's. Also had to get a tool cart to be able to work on things outside the garage so I didnt need to constantly run back and forth for tools and have some place to put things while working.

I like it! Great progress. Warning though, I used OSB in my last shop and when I painted it, had to use primer, no matter what the paint company said “primer and paint all in one”. Keep posting, love it!

Wife finally talked me into taking the littles to disney for the first time.

Did the first air filter change on the F6B and decided while I had half the bike apart for that it would be a good time to add the accent lights.

Wife's crv through a code for the transmission. Noticed that I was 30K over on the trans fluid change, did the honda "flush" and resolved that issue but looked up the trade in value, and decided that we werent that fond of the se trim package on this car and the wife wanted a jeep. Couldnt pass up the deal of the trade in value on the crv only loosing 2k after owning it for 3 years and 60K miles.

Did some landscaping behind the house.

Made some upgrades for the jeep. Due to this being primarily the wife's daily and limited trails we did the lights before lockers approach. Bud did get the self recovery fairly early. We did a weekend in red river gorge in KY and did a trail ride with a group, jeep didnt do to bad in stock form, only had to use the winch once due to getting hung up on a root coming off of a bank. Definately will be getting a 2" lift and some 33's soon.

Also went to Pigeon Forge for the jeep invasion and took Parson branch road off of cade's cove to the tail of the dragon.

Going to try to get caught back up on here and keep it updated a little better. Traded the work beater last fall with a co worker for his work beater that had a non functioning clutch. Tried a new master cylinder to no avail and finally broke down and dropped the transmission...

replaced the clutch and flywheel and solved that problem. Made this trade since its an AWD crv with a 5 speed, more fun to drive and play with. Once the clutch was done it was time for the redneckery to begin.
