Yes, did anyone ask yet when his receipts are dated?

I did. Waiting for a reply.

With this welder, are you forced to use the auto set feature or can you manually adjust power and wire speed?

No. It is manually adjustable too.

I just got one from a local dealer. Did not get the kind of deal you guys are talking about.

Love it so far. I was using flux core up 'til this point and decided I'll use gas with this one. Damn, the welds are clean. I think I saw two tiny spatter bb's after about 20" of practice welds.

how long does it take to get an accept/deny reply on the offer?

He was back to me in a half hour this morning about a plasma cutter (hell of a deal btw). I sent an offer on the welder almost two hours ago and haven't heard anything.

He accepted some recently. Others from earlier today are still pending. So who knows.

He messaged me recently. I asked if he was an authorized Miller dealer/retailer and if an invoice would be included, he said yes. I've asked if it would be dated the day I purchased it, and I'm waiting on a response. Either Miller rebate or not, this is a great deal!

I wonder if those that offered recently was it auto accepted or did you have to wait and hear?

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
Hell if I had a spare $625 kicking around, I'd get a second one - even WITHOUT the rebate. Had my flipping awesome 211 for about a year or so, not much you can't do with it, it's become my go-to wire feeder. And for thin stuff, you can plug it into a wall socket - I've been tempted to see if it will fire off on my inverter in my truck...

As long as they're not forgeries - or they came off that hijacked Miller delivery truck - I can't see a way you can come close to going wrong with that deal... Hell, set it up with fluxcore, go gasless, and throw it in the truck to take with you... just in case.

My guess is since he's down to one he might wait and see what the highest offer that comes in will be. Since he has 48hrs to to decide. A silent bidding war if you will.

The more I thought about this, something seems very fishy about this whole deal. I hope it works out for all that have purchased one.

Has anyone else noticed that based on his recent feedback since posting these (he's received over 8 feedbacks in the past 24 hours), that he has been buying some really expensive items. Granted, I'm basing that off of the items the sellers currently have listed for sale.

Shopping spree with money he scammed off of a bunch of tool junkies? :dunno: :lol_hitti

Might be the case, who knows. Looks like he's sold a number of other expensive items in the past as well though, including some welders.

You guys ****. Seems like he's more willing to accept lower prices the more stock he has left.

What the hell. Between Paypal and CC I feel pretty covered. Does seem kinda strange though. The feedback seems like people have got items from him.

Edit: My $600 was accepted as well.

yeah, can;t wait to see how this pans out. There's plenty of positive feedback for the same exact welder, though.

I suppose its not out of the realm of possibility. If Miller made a ton, and is phasing them out. Retailers might just dump them to a liquidator and write off the loss. I dunno. Be interesting to see if the OP gets a shipment notice later this evening or tomorrow.

I'll try to update when i get a shipping conformation. I'm assuming a few others that were in on the first batch will get them then also.

I'm also not worried about losing out on the cash. Between paypal and eBay there's plenty of protection.

I wonder if the accepted vs. declined offers has to do with the shipping cost? I'm in WI, and most others seem to be on the east coast. Ships out of Montreal.

Curious how the shipping between Canada to USA works out. I'd hate to end up paying a bunch of $ extra for customs or whatever.

I wish there was a deal like on a TIG welder

Typically if something is made in the us then sold to retailers internationally, then bought and shipped back to the U.S. if it's maked goods made in USA it shouldn't have any dutys or import fees. At least my experience following shoe threads.
