Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet kit

as far as cordless ratchets go, how do these compare against the IR R1120 and R1130 stuff? how does it compare to the AC Delco ARW1201 and ARW1202?

The 2452 is an entirely different tool. The whole joy of the ratchet is you can manually break the bolts and then use the power to do the boring work of getting it off finally. I almost always am able to get where I need to with it. In truth its super useful for the boring bolts - the plastic cover of this and that. The interior bits, the front fender bolts...etc.

If you have one of these ratchets ...you know just how awesome it is.

I don't get the purpose of the 2452.

It makes what, 5 ft-lbs more than the ratchet, and is only slightly smaller than the 2454, which makes triple the torque. Hell, even the 2453 1/4" hex impact driver makes 2.5x the torque of the 2452 gun...and it's not even an impact wrench.

What's the sound like on this ratchet? Is it LOUD? Or just like any other Milwaukee M12 tool?

Imaging using your wrench really fast. It's not quiet, but it's not overbearing either. Of all the times I've owned it, I never really thought about the noise.

No. Missing the point. It's just about quick wrenching here, not about torque or any of that. Fuel battery works with it, but just provides longer battery life (which is pretty long as it is)

In fact it has low torque for a reason - so you don't bust anything.

It's really quiet. Again this is not a nut busting solution. However it will move an alternator belt adjuster super fast.

Fuel is brushless motor; there's not a "Fuel" battery, although you may be thinking of the Red Lithium batteries or XC batteries, which are not mutually exclusive

LordDiesel is a proponent of the AC Delco stuff; IIRC they're rated for quite a bit more torque than the Milwaukee.

I'm in for one from the eBay link. Was planning on buying the bare tool when funds made it more convenient, but for an extra $10 I won't mind having another battery, and the M12 chargers just keep piling up...

I've been thinkin about makin this my second M12 tool since I saw this thread. Glad I waited! In for one with a free 2.0 Ah battery and free shipping! Great deal! Looks like I'll be checking out CPO Milwaukee more often.

It was a promotion going on at the time I ordered. I didn't use a coupon. It was my first order from them, I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Even with the $7.99 shipping, it's still a damn good deal.

Milwaukee ratchet is not for a pro usage. It was done after 2 months. The black rubber handles all came apart couldn't handle the oil and ratchet mechanism doesn't work any more but for $99 is worth it if use for light duty. Warranty is a bear.

Mine did that, broke the 1/4 off it, rubber was swollen, I filled out the online form and sent it on its way a short time after that they just gave me a new one no questions asked. I missed it when it was gone I use the dog **** out of mine. I also dropped it several times and one of the times the batteries cracked, sent that in separately, short Time after that a new battery showed up. They pay both ways shipping, hasn't been an issue to get stuff warrantied. Been very pleased it's no doubt not as heavy duty built at the IR or the ac delco but it's pretty damn tough for being plastic and damn near abused daily.

I just ordered one myself. I have had a little Skil 1/4" cordless ratchet and used it quite a bit even being the lightweight it is. I expect to really enjoy the new Milwaukee. I have a full set of M18 tools and quite a few other M12 items so this fits right into my ecosystem. Lol

I want the new M18 fuel torque wrench to replace my v28 but I am waiting for a sale on those.
