Milwaukee 4231 Magnetic Drill Electrical Schematic Needed:

A coworker has a 4231 Drill that he is rebuilding, and it suffered a catastrophic electrical event. The Magnetic Base Switch is toast and no longer available as far as we can tell. It is a 23-66-0931 Switch.

I am trying to design an alternative, but because the Switch is so badly damaged I can't tell which Contacts were closed/open in the three positions.

Does anyone have a operational schematic of the Magnetic Base Switch operation or no where to get one? I am not talking about which wires go to the Switch.
I found an excellent thread with pictures on this forum. However, I need to know which components are switched in for the Magnetic Base Switch.

Photos of the same Drill compliments of Erik Fellenz in another Post.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you for your reply RTM. Unfortunately, this is not what I need, and I do have this information already.

The Switch internals were destroyed. So, I need to a schematic showing all the switch functions so I can replicate it with new circuitry.

Dang, I knew I’d done this before. Look into this thread, it may give you clues, looks like they did it with multiple switches.

Do you have an owners manual? There are several service bulletins showing the back of the switches, but nothing showing the front end for that model.

Hi RTM:

I do have the Owners Manual, and I have looked at the Service Bulletins. However, none of them have the details I need. I will have to figure it out by trial and error, which isn't ideal.

This model is the one that has the three position Switch. Off/Unlock/Locked On. This is a 6 Contact three position Switch. Unfortunately, it appears it was dropped sometime before he bought it and damaged the Switch. There was also some damage to the Resistors and he tried to repair it himself with incorrect Diodes and even more damage was caused.
