I'm looking to expand out of my M12 set into an M18 set, primarily to get a 1/2" impact and hammer drill.... any reccomendations on the best "bang for the buck" way to go about that? It looks like I missed out on home depot's holiday set deals. I have ~$150 in home depot credit to burn up so I've been lurking on their website.

I was thinking this set plus a bare impact:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...-0AH-Batteries-2799-22CX-48-11-1822/303058350

Or this, and hold off on the rest for a while:

The power in the fuel drill is insane. Out performs my corded drills, got the fuel sawzall too and it's just as if not better than my corded one

Keep in mind the lower priced combo is not a fuel model. Milwaukee has so many models that I have to look at the website before I purchase anything. What might initially look like a good deal is a previously released model with lower specs.

You are not a true Milwaukee fan unless you can tell the model and lineup of each tool they make just by looking at a 120pixel x 120pixel icon sized picture of the tool.

I wonder why their site shows the cooler available if I add one to my cart? I'll be calling them Friday.

Because they kinda are a drop-ship vendor. As long as Milwaukee keeps letting them order, they keep it on their site. The rep I spoke with was pretty honest. Some things they don't stock. So once order is place via international website. They then forward the orders to Milwaukee. Milwaukee fulfills the Orders. Gets send to international. Once they get the product it then gets send to buyer.

My order still pending some tape measures that I also placed with the order on Black Friday.

They arent exactly drop ship which is why things take too long. Drop ship is when its sent to you directly from Milwaukee or distributor warehouse, the products are sent to international and then they need to unpack and repack send to customer.

I managed to snag this set on the clearance rack at Home Depot today.... Shows how much I know about Milwaukee. I didnt realize you could get a non-fuel combo in brushless.

List price: $270

I grabbed the last one out of the clearance rack at $140. I went to 2 home depots today and only saw this at one of them, but I imagine there has to be more floating around out there.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ger-Bag-2798-22CT/205846385?keyword=2798-22ct

Now I just need to track down a decent deal on an M18 1/2" impact and i'll be set! I use my M12 gear for just about everything else.

f2d2045153829c31fe0101b62a2c4c4e.jpg plenty of stock around.

For those looking for the first gen 1/2" impact. HD has them at $110 or if you are lucky they are $55.03. YMMV 2d8cad615222d6d2581d89e0f49b1eb0.jpga063e90786ccdcfaada00d1b6a830260.jpg

How are you guys finding this deal? I follow the link and it only has the list price. I can’t find any of those three on clearance

In-store only.

So there are 4 HDs near me and I went to the closest during lunch. They had some weird stuff going on.

The 2763-20 was on the display bench and showed 2 in stock, but they carried a different SKU than what you took a picture of above. They also put that SKU on then gen2 model of this impact (the '2 in stock' units were the newer gen2).

Needless to say, they were $229. :lol_hitti

I'll check the other stores this weekend.

You can probably make an offer on any leftover 2763-20 display models, as they are no longer stocked. I've bought display tools before, and they are cosmeticaly blem, but 0 real wear. The batteries are usually hosed though. You'll have to talk to a manager.

Look here: $400 or $500. Both w/ "free" 9AH battery. $500 kit has $160+ sawzall & $170 packout roller case.

For the bigger kit, say you don't need the sawzall: 500-160=340. Maybe sell the rolling case for $120.... Would be 340-120= $220 for the 2796-22 One Key kit w/ 9AH battery but without a case, I think.:dunno: Just an example. I'm looking hard at the 500 kit even though I already have those tools, not the case though. :lol_hitti

The $500 set is a good deal compared to the inflated pricing of the normal 2796-22 combo set. Freebie retail values, packout roller $129, Fuel one key sawzall $249, 9.0 battery $169. Even at real value they are about $350 in freebies vs $550 retail.

Wow-That $500 kit is a heck of a deal. Makes me wish I had waited.

Me too. Even though I got my sawzall w/ 9ah batt for $207 & impact/drill set for $240. This big set is like getting just at least the rolling case for free. One-key feature would mean zero to me, haha.

I remember seeing a vid with a Milwaukee rep stating that. Believe it's an accessory you'd need to order from a retailer or Milwaukee direct.

Edit.. here - part# 44-06-0005 $40 Canadian is the only price I found. So whatever that translates to in English.

That Radius light should have one more drop left if you can hold out.

Yup probably to $150, or slim chance to $75. Though all the Rocket2 towers disappeared at 288, know a guy who got the floor model for about $225. Surprised all stores added these lights this summer now dropping them.

Predict next drop will be quick maybe 2 weeks.... Could buy and price adjust.

So far I've been unimpressed with milwaukee lights, specifically in the lumen output vs size department. To be really successful in that department I think they're gonna have to keep up with LED technology which is rapidly advancing. It may be too difficult a task for a large company. I'm using a couple of their lights primarily because of battery compatibility, but its easy to find higher lumen offerings in a smaller size.

I'm still hoping the rocket 2 light will drop more. It had a weird drop schedule though, hasn't lined up with what most MIL items do. Most MIL stuff stops at 50% though some like the nailers went the traditional .06/.03

I got mine for $288 and it’s a much better light the the old one. 1,000 extra lumens, battery charger, operate it plugged in, and 3 heads that can point in multiple directions. I was waiting on a good deal to get one!

I agree the newer one is nice and like the battery charging feature. I got my original one for $125 with the free 5.0 battery and charger. Think I sold off the batt and charger for $70ish. So made out pretty good and still a nice light. If the 3 head light goes below $288, and I think it should, I'll pick one of those up as well. If I didn't already have the other I'd probably get it and the current price point.
