I purchased a Ryobi band file for my wife's work bench and she uses it to "fine tune" picture frames and other tasks and I borrowed it a few times and liked it so much I went and purchased the Milwaukee band file and use it on a regular basis…….. You will never know how handy these are until you have one.You won't know until you get one. I had the same thought. Then I bought one. I use it all the time.
It’s the perfect tool for when you’re too old and fat to give yourself a pedicureI want one of these band files, but I’m trying to figure out why I need one.
Do like I did, buy the corded Wen for about $30. Try it for a year or so then decided if you want to spring for the M12.I want one of these band files, but I’m trying to figure out why I need one.
I started out with my pneumatic one. Then bought a HF retrofit kit to run scotch bright belts on a 120v grinder. What pushed me over the top for a cordless unit was fabricating a one off strike plate on site one day after spending far too much time with a ******* file dialing in the inside dimensions.Do like I did, buy the corded Wen for about $30. For deburring things? I used mine to clean up the edges on my ramps for my 4 post. Now I don't need to wear gloves when I setup the ramps to get cars on/off.I want one of these band files, but I’m trying to figure out why I need one.
Someone was looking for the new M18 clamp light thing, this looks like a good deal:
Just so you guys know, they canceled my order. Figured it was too good to be true. So I’m back on the hunt for a deal on one of these, will post updates if I find another dealBeen looking for a bandfile for a while. Found these, either 3/8 or 1/2” with a 5ah for $250 so I pulled the trigger, figured I’d pass the deal along if anyone else was hoping to find one on Black Friday

They have a good price on the m12 underhood light (with a 5.0) but I’m waiting for my refund from the band file before I order it.CBMTools is terrible. Terrible customer service, never answered phone or email, never shipped items. Took weeks to get my money back.
Here are Milwaukee deals on Woot.com which are still available - sometimes they relist the 3/8 / 1/2 M12 impact, keep refreshingAnyone seen any deals (other than the Woot one I missed) on the 3/8 or 1/2 M12 impact?
Could you tell us what scenario you needed this for? Had to be something wide angle...I had a need for the M18 Rover Triple-Panel Light (today). HD has a BOGO going for it so I paired it with a 5.0 starter kit and it brought the price down to $99.99 each. Not a bad price for either item, in my opinion.
My immediate need was a flood light, and any of the other Milwaukee options would have worked. When all of the others were also $99 (or $79 for the clamp), I thought this one was the most value. I do have some upcoming electrical work to do in my attic, and this light should be able to cover the whole area without having to move it around, but that really didn't play much into the decision.Could you tell us what scenario you needed this for? Just trying to file it away in my head in case it would be useful down the road.

'Tis the season!...
i hate all these deals, my wallet suffers
I’ve got that setup and about what I paid for it. It’s nice because it charges the batteries fast when you’re draining batteries quickly. Keep in mind, it is pretty big, so takes up a lot of space. Not sure if this is a good deal, what are your thoughts?

Honestly a gimmick. I've had a corded one for years and used it once. These Youtube guys sanding off rivets is just stupid. You'd use up several batteries and still need a grinder. LOL. Think about a .5" sanding loop. Not much area to work with. I guess good for a tight space or narrow space but in my opinion, save the money. Why is the bandfile so expensive?
