Did anyone else notice the free vac that is comes with is the 0880 but the pic on the website shows the gen 1 0880 with the external hose? What are the odds that tooltopia still has stock of the oldass 0880 vs the pic just being wrong?

Been looking for a deal on the M18 shop vac but I'm looking for the dual battery head. That one is tempting, though...

If you did end up with an old one, should be able to send in they will upgrade to fit more recently released batteries

Does the 1/4” fuel ratchet ever go on special?

$199 for a bare tool is all I ever see.
This might be an option for you. I converted my 3/8 fuel high-speed after finding I was constantly using a 3/8-1/4 adapter:
1/4" hight speed ratchet tall shift knob assembly pn# 49-06-2566. Remove c-clip, remove 3/8 drive, install 1/4 drive, curse, curse while getting the c-clip back in the first time (read docs, try different positions)....1/4 ratchet with 3/8 backup part.
[Home Depot], Acme and Ohio usually have them as well, Amazon hit-or-miss.

Thank you for posting this. I’ve been looking at the multiple tool starter kits, but they all include a 3/8”. If I got a good deal on a kit, the change over would be a no brainer. I did find a 3/8” plain tool for $88, so I may look into it as well.

A bunch of M12 free bonus tool items at HD.
The M12 OMT is cheap if you return the battery kit, about 90 bucks. Great deal on an OMT if you don't have one. Other M12 options available.

The stick pump is awesome.

good deal on the M12 blower - out the door price of ~$70ish factoring the 6 Ah of batteries at $10 per Ah

Thinking of running a smaller nozzle like here for precision dusting:

Inflator out the door = $100 under the assumption the $199 battery package is 2x5.0's. Seems like a good deal along with the jigsaw, grinder, hackzall and blower with this package.

Too bad I don't need another SDS drill. Assuming grinder is $100, SDS is $189 which is a good deal.

How does that hack work?

James
Buy the batteries with the free tool. They should show as separate line items in your order. Then either set the pick up for the item you don't want to another store, or return the item you don't want in store for the prorated return price

If you send the item you don’t want you another store, you’ve still paid for that item, correct? Or am I missing something?

If you don't pick it up, after a certain amount of time it will automatically return to inventory and you will be refunded. If you want the money back immediately you need to pick them both up and then return the one you don't want.

You can manually cancel after, or let it time out from not picking up. Yes you pay, but it comes back.
Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. 👍

Seems like that's a shady way of doing business. I bought the 2 battery and charger for $199 and picked the inflator. I'm quite happy with my early Christmas present.

Not amazing but Acme is offering 2 free 6.0 HOs with purchase of two bare tools. The list is short but has some good stuff - the mid torque, fuel sawzall, top end sidewinder, and the shop vacs.

And if you have to get a Forge battery this year HD has some discounted combos. $299 gets you the battery with either the super charger, sawzall, or grinder.

Pretty sure HD is aware of this being done and they have not changed policy so I assume there still making money. I don't worry to much about the big boys getting by I think HD will be just fine. Sure beats Tools just walking out the door.

I just learned this week that Milwaukee makes a top handle saw. I gotta have it. Said to be the same motor as in their bigger rear handle 16" saw, and is getting awesome reviews from arborists on YouTube.

I just need a deal. I have a $100 HD gift card, and if I sign up for their CC I can get another $50 off...Hmmm...

I was supposed to pick mine up last night, but timing pushed it tonight. That's the first I read it had the same motor, which is awesome. Biggest complaint on the 16" is the body is so dang big. They had to make a new case just for its unnecessary back end.

But I picked up the top handle in store, and really loved the feel.

Personally, a universal offer, like a credit card signups, isn't really a deal per se. Yesterday Acme had $100 off $500 for Milwaukee, though I couldn't tell you if they had that item part of it. Then there was also cash back from shopping plugins.

If it just so happens there is a good credit card offer at the time, great, but if the sticker price isn't being initially brought down, it really isn't a deal on that item.

ToolNut has it for $50 off. Litterly got a text to their sale when typing this.
But now you can take that, and price match thru Home Depot, and THEN get your credit bonus savings.

Looks like the bare tool is ~$350 (half the price), before discounts. Are two batteries (12.0 and 8.0) and a charger worth $350???

Please tell me I'm missing something here...
