Totally agree with your points there. Hard to jump ship and add another battery platform. Milwaukee prices are high. I really want the M18 car charger, but I won't foot the $100 for one. The Ryobi charger is $39 and I may just convert it with a 3D printed M18 adapter.

I gave a friend the M18 12v charger as a gift along with a waterpump and a couple of XC batteries she had me get for her landscape business. I also tossed in an AC multi charger cuz I have so many of them hanging around she said the DC only charger was wicked slow compared to the AC unit she used at night to recharge batteries for the next day.

I've just use power invertors in my vehicle when I need remote charging on my jobs.

A tiny 140W plug in will do the straight M12 charger no problem

But you do need 400W for the multi

My SLT Durango has power outlets everywhere at the rear hatch, console storage and dash

I picked up an additional fan for $59 from Neu's, as well as the M12 inflator from HD... Neu's had it on special for $69 but HD sells it for $79 with a "free" 2.0, I figured $10 for another 2.0 is worth it even though I have so many. I aired up a few small tires around the place, filled some boat fenders, etc... it certainly works awesome for that. The only thing that ***** is the fenders only get 2PSI and the Milwaukee starts at 5, but you can still run it manually.

Also got a complete Packout set... they had the 3-piece for $279 (that was $199 at HD, ugh!) with a free packout organizer. Good enough as I needed one.

Ugh. I bought a Dewalt 18v chainsaw and 3 9.0s a few weeks ago 😭

The 9.0s deliver more current at one time, not just longer runtime. Guessing the 6.0 HO is the same. Did we ever see normal M18 6.0s after being announced?

I made the same mistake two years ago buying Dewalt OPE. Bought it roughly 85 days before the day Milwaukee announced theirs. Well DeWalt has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, and back it went to Lowe's on day 89.

With the PMAY4TH code, I got the Milwaukee fan for $50.15 shipped from Northern Tool on eBay. I was going to get the Ryobi and one of the home brew battery adapters, but this closed the price gap.

Well, if it takes until this fall to come out I'll probably keep what I bought and go with 2 platforms UNLESS I hear the Milwaukee has adequate performance on all my existing 9.0s. I really do like the saw and it has good power... and I'll probably find another Dewalt tool that Milwaukee doesn't offer that I need.

how is it on a car or truck tire?

Haven't tried yet. I have a beater truck that a friend has borrowed right now, but both front tires leak a little bit... can't wait to try it.

It is definitely PERFECT for taking around to do the lawn/garden tractors tires and stuff that I hate hauling out the big compressor for. I had a Lowes automatic pump that worked okay but required a 12v outlet.

While the screw-on connector takes a bit more time, I have had so many issues with the clip-on ones over the years from many manufacturers... I'm glad it's going to be trouble-free.

Anyone know where I can get an M18 string trimmer kit with the free M18 blower for $299? The only places I can still find them are ohiopowertool.com and toolbarn.com, but with $35-40 shipping from either. Still a good deal at $340 total, but if anyone offers free shipping I'd jump on that.

Home Depot rep told me that deal would be valid until June 30th.

Yes, except it's out of stock online and Home Depot won't honor it in the store, even with both items in stock.

According to their site the promo is on until 6/30 so maybe they'll be back in stock online by then? I'm not really sure why they can't honor their own deal in the store.

Can “ask a question” and ask when it will be back in stock

Yeah same here, no sign. i don't know that it'll auto calculate at the register but if someone does get it to work report back. My store doesn't have both tools unfortunately.

Whole different story today, the promo sign was right in the OPE aisle and the guy there knew exactly what I was looking for. Another guy right before me got the same trimmer/blower deal and a guy right after me bought the trimmer/hedge trimmer deal. I got the last blower they had in stock. Used them both already and I'm very impressed!

Managers of the day (MOD’s) are morons at Home Depot they don’t even know what promos are going on. Garden and tools are two different depts. last round. The tool guy Dept. was **** hurt that I bought the Milwaukee tool kit that had the promo hedger. He said where did you get that?! I told him by garden. Then he ***** about how they are taking his sales for running that promo. Smh. Don’t even think this dummies get any commission. Probably just a bonus at the end of the year. Smh.

Either way. Glad it worked out for you.

Not sure if its a coincidence or the fact I emailed them but my battery shipped today.

Same happened to me. Just emailed them Saturday, got a notification today. They don't seem like a shady company so I think this is an odd coincidence.

My Home Depot has two of the 10" M18 miter saws for $300. I should be all over this right? Closest I've seen is $420 at HD

I'm not really sure why they can't honor their own deal in the store.

Because it's not "their own deal" - HD online and the HD stores are two separate businesses, essentially competitors.

Most stores with B&M locations and websites set it up that way. Read the Sears thread for complaints about this.
