Anyone have a picture of the current promotion at home depot?

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...18-5-0Ah-Battery-2767-20-48-11-1850/305907274

Shows as online only, wondering If I can bypass that by just grabbing the impact and the battery kit.

if so anyone know how much they're giving back on the battery return?

I'd prefer the 3/8" fuel but I'm not seeing it listed with the 5.0 battery promotion.

they are giving back algebra for the battery :lol_hitti

new cost for item = original cost of battery or tool * (package price out the door / total value of the 2 items)

some promo's do say they are online only, partially so they can end them at a different date if they need to, but the promo with the impact is also in store, and goes for a couple months. Only thing was at my store, was they were out of 5.0 batteries.

Next day FREE delivery. How can you beat that !

I needed it that day not next day, and every time I go to pick something up at home depot takes forever.

That said I managed to grab the Mid-torque 2860-20 for $95 on clearance instead.

Still debating buying the high-torque and returning the battery. I don't really need that much power as I don't do much suspension work, nor do I have a suv/truck. But it is tempting.

The one I truly want is the 3/8" compact fuel. Someone has one at $100 on offerup near me, so tempted...

Honestly, the high-torque would be totally unnecessary for you and is significantly larger/heavier. Since getting the mid-torque I haven't touched the high-torque. I've done mostly wheels, but also a little bit of suspension stuff with it.

I've been tempted to sell the high-torque, but it hardly takes up any space. I guess it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Yeah, I've only had a few times where I needed extreme strength (wheel castle nuts, cv joints)

But honestly after watching this video video below I think I'll be fine with the mid-torque if I ever deal with that again.

That said I'm still twitching about the 3/8" compact

Keep your receipt and keep checking back on the price of that mid torque. Last price drop ends up at $48.03. So if it drops in your return period you can do a return/rebuy

There is supposed to be 15% off M12 orders >$49 at CPO today only (8/17, $50 max). I finally got the link out of my email, as I couldn't find any mention on their site to the promo.

Nothing really jumps out as being a great deal with this, but figured I'd pass on. I'm not a particular fan of CPO, only for the fact they raise their eBay prices during promos.

I don't see any code to enter on their website. If it automatically takes the 15% off, then they must have raised prices because the prices aren't any lower.

This.

And CPO sales are very specific; in the past I've had to forward the email to people who wanted to access the sale 'cause you MUST link through the email.

I think maybe I've been successful in capturing a link early on to then copy & paste, but ya gotta be quick 'cause it quickly switches from an initial address to a product page.

Yup, sale only valid from the email link. Also multiple orders per email will be cancelled.

None of the new stuff is on the product pages to which the discount applies.

If I manage to pick up a midtorque for $48 at clearance price, will I be able to get a free battery to go along with that as well?

I currently have the high torque which came with my combo set, its used mainly for suspension work and tire rotations, I need to use on caliper bolts, but there's limited space to work with. I knew I should have purchased the mid-torque the other day. I'll probably check it out again later.

What is everyone using to hold the trigger down on the portaband in a swag stand? I have been using a ratcheting Bessey plastic clamp, it works, but not great...

Don't overthink it... I use a 2x2 block whittled into a shallow wedge. Just push it in place to hold the trigger down, pop it out when you want to turn it off. No clamps to adjust, Velcro to strip, or anything sticking out on the bench. And a lot safer than a clamp you have to undo to shut it off in an emergency.

Um, I wonder if its possible to get a free battery with one of the M18 Fuel Sawzall's on Clearance (not as a kit, but separately on one receipt).

Also, wasn't the M18 Miter Saw at $149 with 9.0 Battery as posted by another user here? Seems all sold already

Is it just me or does it seem like there are never any corded Milwaukee tool deals? There are a few tools I'd much rather be able to plug in than run on a battery.

I would agree, due to much less demand. Most retailers want product that moves, which is why you see less & less corded power tools at HD.

Probably better off finding someone looking to convert to cordless & pick up used.

Just went to my local HD on the weekend looking for the 2144-20 light, of course the free battery offer was not available in store.

Talked to the second tool guy (first one just walked away when I asked where the lights were) and the second guy not only got the light, but said the store manager would toss in the battery as they want to keep the customers happy.

The mgr tossed in the 5 Ah starter kit instead of the battery and then gave me my 10% military discount making the deal $149.00 plus $0.01 less 14.00 for $136.01. Then I asked if I could buy a second one for my wife for her camping gear. YUP!

Went home and did the match Menard's 11% rebate online for both for another $13.60 off each!

Gotta love HD some days...lol

Oh I forgot to mention the main bummer with Toolup is that if you don't hit $199 their shipping is a bit ridiculous - they wanted about $16 to ship just the flashlight kit to me in CO and they're in Vegas!

Anyway I grabbed some RedLithium USB stuff I've been wanting anyway to get up to $199, so their ploy worked LOL, but I get more tools so it's a win-win ;)

Shipping is a little lower if you order from them through ebay.

The Milwaukee rep will be at my local home depot tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea what deals/promos they usually offer and whether it's worth going on my lunch break?

Is this an 'event' that has signage posted for it? If so, they don't have any additional deals to what are currently going on. They usually have some impact bits, markers, tape measure, or other smaller/cheaper items to give away. I've seen them just give the stuff away, other times they have contests or drawings.

Otherwise, your Milwaukee rep (some days they will wear Ryobi or Ridgid shirts, as they are their rep too) should be visiting each store in their area on a regular basis. They are usually just making sure everything is displayed where it is supposed to be & put up current promotional signage.

The guy is always in Naples. He didn't do anything for me and I buy as much as I can :)

I think the guy is there almost every day no joke.

He likes to chat but doesn't offer me a single bit. Thats why I just started buying online....

last year i was in HD buying something, and the rep was there. he asked if he could take a selfie of us to show his boss (i assumed to show the boss how he was selling stuff, even though we just both happened to be there at the same time). i told him i wasn't really into that, and asked him what "spiffs" he had to change my mind. he mentioned that he had some shirts and hats. i told him that for a shirt and a hat he could take a picture with me, and show it to his boss, but not post it online anywhere.

he went for it. i think he meant either a shirt or a hat, but coughed up both (but didnt want them in the picture). wearing the shirt today, dont think i have ever worn the hat. . . . .
