i got an offer in the front page banner for 10% in ebay bucks on 50$ min purchase on the app, and 8% using the web site until august 30. these are often limited to specific users. check your messages onsite to see if you can enable this offer.

sometimes they offer two 15% off coupons close together at the end of the month. i wonder if they will do the same now, with this offer also available.

Ordered the 2131 Rocket Light with free 5.0 starter kit with the $20 off from CPO for $179 (plus tax for me). I think they have one left.

Won't be getting warranty (if I'm not mistaken), when buying from third-party (unauthorized parties)

As long as it's a legit Milwaukee product and not a knock-off you are mistaken.

People have this belief you have to send in a receipt with warranty claims and that is not true. I've done numerous claims and ONLY include a receipt if it's past 5 years from the date of manufacture (easily decoded from the serial # and/or heat stamps) but date of purchase is less than 5 years ago.

IOW all a receipt gains you is the difference in time between manufacture date and purchase date.

I intentionally DON'T include a receipt if the tool was built within the past 5 years - I figure no reason to confuse them or give them excuses to deny a claim. All they need to know is 1) it's their product and 2) it was built within the past 5 years per the serial#. Done. KISS

edit: yes, yes batteries are 2 or 3 years

This is good info, thanks Ign. What about too-good-to be true eBay prices? I found a mid-torque wrench for a little over $100. Could the seller have purchased multiple quantities off HD Clearance shelves?

The acme tools labor day sale does not exclude the chainsaw. I ordered the chainsaw kit with 3 inexpensive bits to fill out the 4 items for 15% off making the chainsaw kit $340 shipped. Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks for the tip!

I added some 32 cent filler items to get to 4 items total.

I just did the Acme deal a little while ago for the new 3/8" stubby impact and a few cheap bits.

I guess not a power tool but we're all Milwaukee addicts here. HD has practically all the Hardline knives at $30 to $35 as the Special Buy of the Day (plus some M12 and M18 that didn't interest me much so I didn't pay attention)

I grabbed the coveted (for me) -1998 tanto for $30 shipped free. The last time I lost my -1998 I was really bummed and searched high & low for the best price online..... finally wound up paying ~$55 on eBay

Not sure if this is the place. Hoping the Milwaukee gurus can tell me is this a good deal? Great deal? Don't ask the wife & buy it immediately deal?

Not a deal in my book.

2804-20 hammer drill /2853-20 impact driver: You should be able to find a One-Key H Drill/Impact kit for <$300

2720-20 SAWZALL: The much better One-Key model can be had for $130 or so.

2730-20 6-1/2 in. circular saw: Only 6-1/2", and the 7-1/4" (cheaper blades in the long-run) can be had for $160 or less. So maybe $140 value for this model

2861-20 mid-torque impact driver: Should be bale to get one for ~$120 or less

2780-20 4-1/2 in./5 in. grinder with paddle switch: Just got one for ~$80 in HD in store (after returning 5ah battery I didn't need from promo)

2735-20: it's a light. Maybe $15 we will say. I would never buy this style by itself, so hard for me to truly value. Sure ain't worth $50 retail.

2767-20 - High Torque impact - $170 or less on ebay.

So that total is $960, but also based off several better models available. I personally would not jump, and buy smaller individual deals. Not that I anticipate issues, but if one tool in that kit doesn't work, yes you could send it in for service, but exchanging it sure won't be fun.

I'm thinking about these "Special Buys" at HD that apparently end in a few hours(?)
I only have M12 non-fuel stuff so far, (stubby Fuel 3/8 preordered as well) .
I don't follow the deals like you guys. Tell me if these are viable deals or easily bested elsewhere?

finally pulled the trigger on the rocket light/starter kit combo at Home Depot today.

get home tonight to see how bright it really is, open the box, and find that some ******* took the new model and put a used, dirty older model in the box and returned it. Now i'm getting up at 6am to go get a new one

Acme has the same deal, but with a 15% off coupon if you get some 50 cent filler items. Free shipping and no tax.

I worked at and around Home Depot ages ago (2002-2006). My favorite was the guy who purchased a welder then returned the box with a couple bags of gravel inside. The returns clerks were supposed to have us come up and check the tool returns. Fortunately he was on camera and the cops got him. Some people have balls.

Had that exact same thing happen to me a month or so ago with a Dyson vacuum. They even went so far as to hot glue the lid back shut so it looked like it had never been opened!

Both of those deals go beyond today. Neither of them are on the actual Special Buy of the Day Page. Often both of those deals are priced at $199 with the free tool at Home Depot, but obviously not at the moment. Of course if you only need one Drill/Impact kit, buy the one that includes the more expensive tool, and get the cheaper one on ebay. Though while mentioning that, several Milwaukee vendors have the same package pricing on eBay (ex Toolup), where a 15% off coupon could be applied.

Thanks, guys. I looked at various sellers and ended up going with Acme with their 15% (picked up a few drill bits).
A similar promotion at a few places but with different offerings of the free item.
!/4 ratchet, light/battery one place or 3/8 ratchet, light, jigsaw or another had angle drill or ratchet.

I got the 2598-22 plus the 1/4 ratchet

To get 15%, aren't we supposed to buy at least four items, then be able to get that discount? If we add three 50 cent items, and a bare tool, that's eligible for 15% off? If so, that's a good deal for retailer which hasn't inflated their prices.

That is how it shows in the shopping cart.
