If I understand the math correctly, the $99.00 5.0 battery should be worth $68.18 on the return, making the impact wrench $150.82 plus tax. Ebay is $173 currently, so the depot deal is a real deal.

You guys are good

My HD no longer pro rates the discount :(. I just wanted the light but I guess I'll throw another battery and charger in the pile.

Dang, sorry to hear. Probably has been changed for everyone I would imagine, or soon will be. How is that being rung out then? Is it showing up as a bundle? That I would like to see a receipt of.

Are you sure? Just picked up the tower light and returned the battery and charger kit a few days ago. Some stores can be picky, but the receipt clearly shows the breakdown of how much you will be refunded. Its never the full amount.

HD had these for $220 new with free 5.0 battery right now. Returning the battery for $80 makes them $140 new.

still waiting for pic of receipt showing $80 credit return....for the m18 impact wrench kit. If true, I am going to go get that big impact, too bad its not the bluetooth version.

why don't you believe us? This has been going on forever, that is HD taking $129 off proportionally off both items when they run this promo (maybe $99 if that is the new store price).

You don't even need to buy it. Have a checkout person ring both into the register. Right after they scan the battery, it will take the cost off both items.

What you are specifically asking this time is not possible. This is not for the impact kit. It is buying the bare tool @ $220 and a single 5ah battery.

If you have a Lowe's 10% off coupon, or can use the military discount, ask them to take the 10% off the impact wrench only, so the free battery promo still can still be applied.

I can't seem to locate my receipt anymore as I made the purchase a while back but now you have a second person saying the exact same thing so maybe that will help a bit?

A few days ago Slickdeals had the Fuel circ saw, 2731, listed at $111.36 as a clearance item, available for online order only.

Yesterday I stopped by a local HD for other stuff, and found they still had one on display and a few on the shelf, marked with a "clearance" of $189. I pulled up the online ad and checked with the reps at the self check out and they honored the online price (even though it states online only/none available).

YMMV, of course.

Nice, good for you. I got a similar deal only because I bought the 9ah saw kit for about $203 on sale.

That was mentioned on GJ somewhere, and most have had success price matching.

Ebay - $45-50 for 5ah. $$80-95 for 9ah. It's a great saw. Sure, it's heavier with the 9ah, but then it doesn't go down as fast. plywood or 1x is alot easier on batteries.... I was using it to cut up some pieces of firewood. :spit:

How long have you been owning yours?

As some can see, between this thread and the HD Clearance deal thread, I'm trying "not" to opt for this deal, :lol_hitti

me? owned my saw about a year. I usually use it only at home because coworkers are harder on tools. I have 13 or 14 of the 5 ah batteris, 1 old compact, a 3ah, 2 or 3 - 9ah batteries, and soon one 12ah w/ the chainsaw($300 :shocking:). :lol_hitti

I held off on getting a miter saw or table saw. :spit: Coulda gotten the 10" miter w/ 1 battery & the 2731 saw for $510.

I just used mine last night since buying it earlier in the week for the $111 price. It worked amazingly well for my intended purposes of ripping plywood. Best part is no cord getting stuck on the ends!

Anyone have a deal for the string trimmer or hedge trimmer? If there are not any right now, what price/deal should I look for?

The trimmer has dropped to $250 in store at home Depot. Not an amazing deal, but $50 less than normal. The last two years many retailers has get a free hedge trimmer when you buy the string trimmer

If you had a location under your name, I could tell you if I'd sell you my hedge trimmer.

I got a deal on the string trimmer with a gen 2 blower, quick charger and a 9.0 battery for 300. I thought that was a fairly good deal.

Red Tool Store is just Toolup. I ordered 3 USB flashlights last night at Toolup, 15% off with Light15, and their $199 shipping threshold appears to apply to gross, not net as I got free shipping.

Also IME Toolup lets you order OOS items and they'll just ship it when they get it. Watch your card though, if debit - I've had some things I nearly forgot about and then weeks later wonder why my account balance is suddenly so low

Does milwaukee ever offer any discounts on their hand tools? I'm all loaded up on their power tools for now..

One tool retailer offered Buy 1 get 1 free on their hand tools last year. I bought the large wheel measurer, 3 crescent wrenches, hollow nut drivers, and a couple other items. Not all off their hand tools were part of the promotion, but a ton were.

It's pretty good if it's what you need. Sometimes they are listed on eBay for the same price, but none right now (w/ extra 9ah that is). I bought a couple at HD in-store, because the battery made the price of the packout portion close to $375.

Keep in mind, these are last generation tools, arguably the sawzall is current, but all are good tools.

Thanks, I found a decent price for what I needed on ebay and just waited for the 10% coupon I saw today.
