Acme Tools also has the M18 Fuel Circular Saw on special with the Free 8 Amp-Hr Battery. There price is $199, but allows the 12% off Coupon Code RED12, bringing the cost to $175. They do not charge tax and have free shipping, so it's actually a better deal than International Tools charging double tax.

Thanks for the tip. I'm trying to use the Red12 code on another tool that has a free battery promotion but as soon as I apply the code the cart removes the battery. Maybe if I call them they'll get me sorted out with both :)

no they based it off subtotal before discount. they charged tax on the free item.

I don't think it is the correct way of doing it, but that is where the # is coming from

Nah, I had no free item in my cart.

Just $20 off $169.

Now do sum thinkin' 'bout over $18 tax on either $149 or $169. It's well over ANY sales tax rate anywhere in the state of CO, esp when I should be 4.9% not in a city. Even if they taxed at the 7.8% including the city in my mailing address they're just a wee bit off.....

I wonder where they'd remit all that extra tax, or if they'd just pocket it. Stupid tax I guess, as Bill Ramsey says

Good find for some, but International Tools isn’t charging tax for AZ or shipping over $150.

I get nailed for state tax online everywhere since last year so that point's moot for me now....

International did offer free shipping on that saw/battery deal though

Thanks, I didn't notice the battery dropped out with the promo. Still shows no tax for me though. There is a 10-15 business day backlog.

Like when you get a deal on a cell phone. I never quite understand the logic.

Someone gets a new $1000 phone, and what ever offers brought it to nothing. How do you think the state feels on you getting $1000 item and no pay taxes. Just like winning a vehicle.

I can understand paying income or gift tax on it, but i don't understand sales tax on an item that i don't pay for.

Should the folks that are getting those 1 cent closeout items at home Depot pay sales tax on the full price?

Should we pay sales tax on the full MSRP of an item that is on sale?

im tempted to buy it anyway and sell off the "old" tool or maybe the new one...it would heavily subsidize that M18 8.0 HO battery

I didn't think the super sawzall + 8.0 for $170 at international tool was real, but I just got a tracking number. best deal this year. I'd get the 7 1/4 saw too if I needed it

"Free" cell phones are subsidized by the service plan which is taxed. Neither is anything like winning something and having to pay income tax/capital gains/etc.

A "free" second battery is no more free than when they package another deodorant in and call it "free" - you're paying for it. It's simply marketing.

My neighbor offered me his Milwaukee 28V stuff he was going to put on Craigslist= Sawzall, Circular Saw, Impact, and Drill. In cases, with batteries. Impact was never used.
Aside from being massively heavy, is this stuff worth anything?

Right now they have 12.0 plus an HO 8.0 for $199

I ordered for pickup in store as I feel like that’s a good deal on a serious battery combo.

yeah, that's good if you need them. $10/Ah has been the "ok price" metric but the 12 hasn't had enough sales yet to consistently come down to that

Great for 2x4 & single sheet cuts. Because of the smaller blade, it is a little more tendandcy than a larger size blade to not cut as straight. A lot of that is user, but the blade size contributes to that. Otherwise it no is great for it's size.

Biggest negative is the premium you pay forward her 5-3/8 blade size. Thats one thing to grab with the Ace 50% off BF coupons

I got confirmation of the order but no shipping info yet. Definitely a hell of a deal - hoping they fulfill it!

I like mine... just lacking tools... I have the hammer drill, impact, sawzall, bandsaw, led light.... circular saw.... vacuum as well... just they don't appear to be making many new tools, but mine are still fine... cant compare them to any fuel, since I don't have any yet...

The V28 batteries aren't legendary for going 10 years. M28 might be better. I wouldn't worry too much about acquiring it.

x2; I have some promised some projects to my youngest son and I tossed my cracked / cut cord circ. saw. Then, I ordered the 2732-21HD from an eBay seller and it lacked the battery. So I look forward to getting it.

Have not seen this mentioned: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...ickid=woE06bz5wzJ1W3AXoHyxs2aEUknwsdT5wzTOQA0

M12 4-in-1 plus charger, plus 2x 2AH batteries, plus 6AH battery.

I see them targeted toward cabinetry installation.

My question is: can this work for electrical assembly? I am talking about building panels (mild steel?), drilling for din rail and Panduit/Phoenix wireway? Drilling Hoffman enclosures, both regular mild(?) steel and stainless?

I’ve been using it about 2 weeks for door and window installs and I love it. Switching bits and heads is super easy and convenient. Tons of power handles everything I give it drilling or driving. The hold is unique and the fwd/rvs is odd but if you trigger with middle finger your thumb is right on the button.

My local HD has an "Milwaukee In Store Demo Event" upcoming. Says "Live Demos and In-store Promotions." Do they ever offer actual discounts on tools at these events? I'm jonesing for a Fuel 18V Impact Driver kit 2853-22CT and lowest I've found is $206. Curious if the Milwa rep can deal or not.

Not from what I've seen. They have deals but I haven't seen any that are better than the stuff we see online or the special buy of the day.

The best a rep will do is throw in a free battery or some "swag".

They have offered me 10% before and have thrown in 5.0 but only on larger purchases. Better off waiting for an online deal I think.

Not typically at HD, but it can happen. Usually it isn’t a discount, but depending on that reps relationship with the store, they may do it. But some employees are just as willing to give you a deal. Also, they aren’t true Milwaukee reps but work for TTI (Milwaukee/Ryobi/Ridgid), which don’t usually have as much “stuff” to give away. Usually limited to screwdrivers, saw blades, and shirts kind of stuff.

If you want a better chance, you would need to go to an independent retailer or supply house that has a true Milwaukee rep. Often though, the prices are a little higher at those places, to compensate for freebies & such, at least in my opinion.

I will say, you are unlikely to get too much out of just buying that one tool. Also, that kit you are looking for is not sold in HD stores (only 2 tool kit is), so you would run into an problem there. I would buy the 2-tool kit (2997-22) that comes with 2 free tools (buy the $149 ones), and return them, which brings the kit to ~$228. Now sell the drill or keep it.

My local HD was setting up the front display area for Xmas tools. The signs were up for various tools with the usual buy this and get that free. I didn’t see any M12 tools up there for Milwaukee only the M18 lineup.

I put in an order for the super sawzall and XC8.0 battery yesterday afternoon. I got the shipping confirmation and tracking info today. Definitely the real deal on this. Can't wait for the order to arrive.

M12 Fuel Hackzall kit 2520-21XC (tool, 4.0 battery, charger, bag) with a free 6.0 battery for $159. No tax for AZ. Seems like a good deal, ordered. Should complement my 2722 M18 sawzall well.

https://www.acmetools.com/shop/tool...dless-m12-fuel-hackzall-reciprocating-saw-kit

I found this on other sites for $179. Amazon sells the 2520-21XC kit for $123 plus tax ($135 for me), but a 6.0 battery is certainly worth the extra $25.

Anyone know where I can find a deal better than $195 plus tax on the 2125-21XC M12 LED Underhood Light Kit?
