Maybe new M12 batteries as well? Why give them away?
God I'm hoping for some 21700 cell M12 batteries. Highly unlikely though. A leaked picture shows a 4 pack battery deal for Black Friday,

It's a ridiculous deal. People would pay that just for the two batteries! Makes me wonder if Milwaukee is coming out with a new version of the hackzall? Honestly the existing one is already very heavy duty and slots in nicely below the M18 Fuel Hackzall (or maybe they are moving away from the M12 Fuel version altogether).
I'm tempted to pick up another but not sure I want the hassle of parting out a kit...also thinking that gray market prices are going to drop on these.
What do you guys think about the front page deals from northern tool listed here:

I'm still on the hunt for a high torque impact (and an m12 impact driver) - any thoughts on this m18 impact deal? I could use the light, batteries, charger, and sockets but not the other stuff, so it might not make sense for me. Seems good for the amount of stuff included...?

Thanks for the post, what a great deal, scored one.

google the northern tool part number, the grinder is 2680 which is non-fuelAny of those tools FUEL? I cant decipher from the lowres.
Non FUEL grinder, no thanks. Not sure about the 5ah batts, those HO?

my deal analysis:
it's 15Ah of the older non-ho 18650 batteries, worth maybe $150 or a little less
plus 2767 impact which trades for $180 on ebay (sometimes less, this one has had a few really good kit deals in the past)
plus 2680 grinder which trades for $80-90 on ebay (but it's non-fuel so you probably don't want it)
so... it's worth maybe $400 before bag, sockets, light and impact condom. I guess it's ok. personally I would go a la carte on ebay, go for the 21700-based batteries, and skip the non-fuel grinder. ebay stuff is mostly grey market but if you pick the right sellers you won't have problems
Basically a "get these off our shelves" deal. Good if you dont require higher tier gear.
But im waiting till gen 2 or 3 for the high demand tools like grinder, circ saws, table saw, etc... or at least FUEL version before commiting.
My gen1 circ saw is meh, FUEL grinder is OK, needs big ah/ho batts to perform tho.

What size blades will fit.Like what an electric saxzaw will take?
Thinking about trimming some palm trees with it.lol

Do yourself a big favor when trimming palm fronds and buy a high quality Japanese hedge shear. One whack and done.Hah I’m not gona cut an 8” limb so should work on tree fronds like butter.
I did it once with an electric Sawzaw with way less dust compared to a chain saw.
$117 with bigger battery seemed like a good deal.
Trees need trimmed hence my excuse to buy it.haha
Stroke is the real key to performance in general...
the amount of distance the blade moves back and forth![]()
5/8 vs. 7/8 stroke for the two fuel hackzalls. I haven't seen any detailed teardowns but they're essentially the same tool (same size and weight and shape, probably almost all the same parts) with different battery connections and then I assume they change the motor windings and the cam bits to modify the stroke. and the m18 has a pivoting shoeHa ha funny DFB, but seriously, I think the M12 Hackzall has a 1/2" stroke and the M18 Hackzall has 7/8", yes? So the M18 should make a faster tree limber if stroke is the important variable...
PS: $25-75 off Milwa bare tools at ACME with MILWBARE

M12 Hackzall is 1/2" for brushed & 5/8" for Fuel
M18 Hackzall is 3/4" for brushed & 7/8" for Fuel
I never tried a M12 but I had a M18 then sold it & got the M18 Fuel. I was able to tell a difference. The pivoting shoe was a nice upgrade too.

God I'm hoping for some 21700 cell M12 batteries. Highly unlikely though. A leaked picture shows a 4 pack battery deal for Black Friday,
earlier in this thread someone mentioned a Milwaukee patent on pairing 21700s in the base with 18650s in the handle. I haven't seen the patent myself21700 will not fit in the handle of any of the current M12 tools.
The "21" is the diameter which is 3mm more than an 18650, so two side by side would add 6mm or almost a 1/4". While a longer 18mm battery is possible, it is highly unlikely because of the tooling costs.
What's the best deals you guys seen on the M12 ratchets? I'm in the market for one but want to wait till a great deal comes up. Hopefully for black Friday or cyber Monday.
Looking at one of the M18 Fuel combos at HD, and it has 2 tools that I already have so Im trying to figure out what a fair resale price would be:
2861 Mid Torque
2780 Grinder
Id probably just sell them on here instead of dealing with eBay or Craiglist, if possible

FML. Even better deal on the M12 Fuel Hackzall... kit with 4ah battery for $117 with free 6ah battery.

That plus my m28 will have me covered... thinking about the fuel blower and high torque impact.... my 12ah battery got sent back to international tool... should send a replacement.... now need a 12v light and smaller batteries... a few more Milwaukee stuff I own. V28 stuff...Finally took your leap? Nice score! [emoji481]
