Thanks for the input, this might be the wiser buyThe under hood light is 1350 lumens on bright, the new M12 rover service light is 700 and can pivot. I'd highly recommend using the new service light (i have two, they are amazing) with the built-in magnet instead and save money as they are about $59 each.

AcmeTools (in-stock), AceTools (in-stock), ToolNut, CPO Tools, all seem to have them already. HD doesn't carry it yet.
Nothing beats the underhood light when doing engine work. It's not even the brightness of the light, but the fact that it spans the whole engine bay so you don't have to move lights around.
Exactly why I use the underhood light.
I even use it on the interior hooked to the roof with both doors open.
This was exactly my thought behind my post. I use to use my friends snap-on one but since he got his own shop I no longer have access to it lol. Also I use to take it into the attic (pole barn) for some lighting and the retractable arms/hooks were perfect to hand the bar on the wooden trusts with a nice wide angle spread!
