Not sure if this is a joke, and I'm really, really new to hacking. Is there really a (short) time limit to cancel a delivery item that's part of a partial pick-up deal?

Mike
Nothing to worry about. And it's a stretch to call it hacking. Hacking is doing something to circumvent something that isn't intended to be done. Adding 2 items to you cart & getting pro-rated prices a middle schooler could figure out, is far from that. 😂

The 45 minutes is if you don't want that particular item, and don't want to go through the hassle of returning. lts easiest to set the battery up at a different location, and have the desired portion of the order sent to you or picked up at your usual store .

Thanks. "Hack" is one of my least favorite words (and I think it's greatly overused, like "epic" a few years ago), especially when used as a noun, but that's what people call it here...

Also, the current buy more save more at home depot includes m12 and m18 tools. There are a few interesting ones there as well. Took me a minute to find the full list but I think this is it.

Great deal. Thanks for posting. For some reason I can't post my order for a trimmer, but glad one GJ member was able to take advantage. Guessing it might out of stock or Clark's doesn't like shipping to CA.

I think Home Depot patched the "hack", at least for the blower.

I am able to add the blower and "free" battery to the cart as separate items. The battery can be picked up in store or shipped, but the blower is shipped only. The pickup in store option is grayed out, despite my local store having 27 in stock.

I could use the blower, but I definitely don't need any 5.0 batteries.

Also attempted to order the trimmer for $80 from Clark's. We will see if that goes through.

I tried to snag the chainsaw but I'm having the same problem. Can't get the website to ship to CA. Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow if I have time during the day.

As long as the items are two separate line items each with their own cost, you can order them any way you like be it pick up/ship/whatever. You can always just return the item to the store to get the cash back out of the deal.

Curious to see if the Clark's string trimmer deal works out. $80 for the whole unit, but $129 for just the trimmer attachment (also in the "promo" deals...)

What's the deal with the "promo" and "new, no box" items from Clark's? Have any of you had experience with those types of items from there?

It could be kits that were split up? Though this doesn't seem like something an authorized retailer would be allowed to do. I did just receive a tracking number for my trimmer. We will see what arrives! We just moved into a new house in the fall and won't have a yard for a few more months. It will be a while before we can use it, but the deal was too good to pass up.

The hedge trimmer is definitely something I'd like to have. I have a couple of corded ones, but I've cut several cords with them over the years.

I just got the trimmer attachment for the M18 power head and it is great for trimming around the pond and getting the wild rose thorns around the fence posts. I don't have any hedges to trim but I'd imagine it's awesome for that as well.

If you want to order from Clarks and you live in CA you can. Apparently there is some weird BS law about internet orders and prop 65 so you can make a phone order and it is legal but not an online only order? I placed an order this morning. I'll post up when it comes through.

Any update on what arrived? Just the trimmer head or the whole unit?
Whole unit. Put it all together and took it for a test spin this afternoon.

I think maybe it was parted out from larger kits, because it also came with instruction books for a battery charger and shoulder strap, neither of which were part of this package.

If you look at the pricing, it is spot on for the pro-rated prices you would see for the hedge trimmer in the cart at HD, both for the hedge trimmer & 5ah.
Then the string trimmer & 8ah battery from them is sold as "not in original box" as they are parting out the kits, along with the rapid charger. So they are just breaking up kits like other resellers do, but this is coming from an authorized Milwaukee dealer at a price very close to what many of use would value the items at. 8ah is bit higher than resale prices, but the trimmer is considerably below

Couldn't pass up the M18 String trimmer at Clark's for $80. They do occasionally have some of the best Milwaukee deals. Geez, that's got to be at least half price. Who cares about the original box. I already have a bunch of batteries so I'm good to go.

In case anyone is interested: M18 blower, glasses, 5Ah batt-- price breakdown 89.03+78.97

In the description, it doesnt say anything about a free battery, how do you get that?

Also, anyone used this leaf blower? I have a corded one now that I feel could blow a house down haha, how much *** does the M18 one have?

It’s more a patio or walkway or very small yard blower. It won’t move piles of wet leaves very far and even a 12 AH battery is good for only 15 minutes on high. But it is convenient if those are your uses.

Sent a buddy that deal and he ordered it. Arrived in Original box with 8.0 and charger advertised on the side but not included. Stupid fast shipping (2 day Fedex) too!

Same for me. Ordered Monday, arrived today.
Original box with battery and charger gone.

Good deal for the whole unit … now I have 2 of the motors since I already had the pole saw kit.

Im debating on being in the same boat, but with the promo with the string trimmer kit with the 8.0 battery for $210. I already have the Gen 1 string trimmer, Gen 2 Quik-Lok head with the extension, pole saw, and hedge trimmer attachment. I dont NEED another power head, but for the small amount more than the cost of the 8.0 battery, I get it.

Clark's "not in original box" string trimmer kit is now bumped up to $100, but on the plus side they now have the pole saw (attachment only) for $125 (again "not in original box").

I got in for the Clark's $80 string trimmer deal. I just received mine and it's in the original box (I think unopened) with all the box partitions, parts and docs in bags and everything else in origin plastic wrappings. Looks factory new to me.
