Thanks, BroncoAZ--didn't pick up the tools that you listed, but did see the M12 Leaf Blower listed.
I had my eye on it for my wife to use--I thought she would be more comfortable with the weight of the M12 rather than the M18.

$119 + tax shipped free--with two batteries. Looks like it is being cleared, so it is back to only $129:

Of course, I was actually interested in a deal on a worklight--one of my old 18v Nicad lights that I was using with an M adapter seems to finally have succumbed to years of abuse and needs replacing.

(Side comment--people want stupid money for the old ones on eBay--apparently I'm not the only one still using these!)

Trying not to make this into a discussion, but that blower won't be blowing many leaves. Like the title says, compact spot blower. Great for blowing off work surfaces, drying something, and loose dry items on a flat surface.
*If* you got it for leaves, and not just calling it that, you will be disappointed for anything more.
And the pricing for that particular promo, was just that there was an extra $10 off for deal of the day yesterday.

Bolt cutter deal, 2 for $130 at OPT. If you only need absolutely one, ToolPlus has them for $95 on their site or via eBay.

They are new so they will be at a premium for a while. You only need those if you have a tool that can use it or if you have heat issues with your batteries. Otherwise you are better off with the 6.0s IMO.

Here's a good deal at Max Tool for an M18 Inflator for $123.25, after applying $20 Coupon Code "Trick". Best deal I have seen on this inflator.

Yes that is a fantastic deal! But you must pay shipping. If there is something else you need to get over $200 you can get free shipping and use the $50 off coupon.

Might as well grab the new M18 hatchet for $50 off

If this gets on SlickDeals, I expect it will sell out quickly. Hard to find a deal on the M18 Inflator. Workshopaddict did a good review of the M18 Inflator.

Thanks for the reminder Crabman. Just bought the m12 fuel multi tool with 2X 6.0s from Home Depot for $200. Granted I don't know why I bought this one as I don't really use my original m12 multi tool that much. Hopefully the fuel version will inspire me to use an oscillating tool more.

Getting a bit pissed at toolnut. They sent me a link which shows the Milwaukee m18 deep cut band saw with a free 6aH battery for $299, but when I follow that link and try to buy it I get the bandsaw for $379 and the free battery in cart is an Impact driver. Tried to contact customer service and all I get is a link about why you can't use m18 batteries in m12 tools. What a loap of ****!

Am I crazy or is the promotional free tool available for all 3 of those promotions the same set of tools? I think that is the first time I've seen that?

I believe Acme tools has the same packout deal as well.

I really wish they would offer battery options for these sales. They can be priced accordingly and I'm sure a lot of people would pay the difference. I would much rather pay more to get a couple of 6.0 HO's or even less for 2.0's. To me the 5.0 is like the 3.0 XC, kind of pointless for most situations.

If all the batteries were on sale, then many less full price batteries would be sold other times. Someone has to help pay for the sale 😉

If you don't like 3 XC, not sure why you would want a 6? I'd say the 6ah is pointless compared to an 8ah, as you say a 3ah XC is. When you can have more amps in the same size case, that's when the smaller is pointless [not as efficient]
There are plenty of tools however that don't need more weight or power than a 5ah, but want runtime.

Like the deal below. The 5ah is going to give you the longest runtime, in the relatively smallest package. 6ah HO adds weight & size and no extra power in this instance. Either jump to the 8ah, or the 5 will be more than adequate.
Can you return the batteries on this deal?

anytime the items show up as separate lines on your receipt, yes.

More deals:
$149 Top-Off +5ah
$199 M12 Fuel Drill / Impact Kit + 2.5ah HO battery

I agree that there is a place and use for each battery but we only need so many 5.0 batteries. But it is fully understood that we need to fund the sales.

As far as the 6.0 vs 8.0 debate, it is my understanding that the 6.0 is the most powerful out of all of the battery packs. The 8.0 is slightly less power with longer runtime.

The 3.0xc has a very limited use in my opinion when you have the 3.0ho or 5.0xc as options.

And we won't even get into the M12 with the new HO batteries.
All of the redundancy in one uping batteries and tools just makes my head hurt. All of the manufacturers are guilty of it...
Guess they need something new to sell us every friggin year.😂

I'd recommend trying a 6, 8 , and 12 on the chainsaw. The 12 easy bests the other 2, which I couldn't say there is a difference between. With that being said, I'd say the 8 is more powerful than the 6 due to power density. The 12 & 8ah use the same rated cells (theoretically they could release a 4ah HO compact), and the 3ah & 6ah HO use the same.

In the end, it really comes down to what you pay per amp hour. Generally the tools work with one or other just fine. I'll take a 6 all day at the right price

Looks like they have removed the Inflator as an option for Free Tool. It's now offered as a Kit for $199. I expect this is done to prevent Hacks on the free tool.

Just checked again and I had to go to actually checkout and start adding my info and then it shows up in the summary. I thought it showed earlier when I made the purchase but perhaps not. Either way, you'll see it on there before you need to enter your payment info.

Just checked the HD website and the M18 inflator was back as the "free tool" but that could change again. I ordered the M18 inflator earlier today without any issue and its ready for pickup but did notice later on it was no longer an option or available for several hours.

I would rather opt for the skinny 3.0 batteries - the ones coming with the Northern Tool deal come in the way when working in odd angles. But for anyone in need of an inflator, this is still the deal to get. Best inflator on the market. M12>M18 for topping off tires.

The Home Depot and Lowes deals for the Holiday season are live. Its the same darn deals every year with a few exceptions here and there. 🤣 I'm sure everyone will want to hop on the Dewalt 3" Cut Off tool or the DIY Dewalt 5/8" SDS Plus 20V Max Rotary Hammer (available cheap through Home Depot). Milwaukee's 2-pack 5.0Ah batteries for $99 is not a bad deal either (after hack). The 2x 3.0Ah HO M18 Batteries for $99 is also not a bad a deal, weighing close to the same as 5.0Ah batteries (reduced run time but with a tad extra oomph).

I feel like the deals are short lived this year as I've already scooped the deals from previous years with very little differences year after year. In fact, I wouldn't want to opt for any new cordless tools due to the chip shortage. We are already aware of how Milwaukee tried implementing a cost saving measure on their Fuel line of impact wrenches.

Still debating on a framing nailer if there is any good deal.

The Home Depot BOGO deals are still hackable, just make sure to select same pickup / delivery options for both items and cancel the item you don't need immediately after placing the order.
