Good. Hope we helped ya out. It's tough just starting out, not knowing. But that's ok, and it's also how many of us learned.
That HF 44 is a great box! I was looking, but it doesn't have the depth I want, so I got a used Kennedy. Good luck and keep us informed.

K....I went with the Bosch 12". Got it for $599 all in from an authorized dealer on Ebay (there was a coupon 15% off max $50) I checked camelcamelcamel and lowest Amazon price (sold by Amazon) is $579 in Nov 2015 (plus tax). Maybe could have done better at Father's Day....but I'll be sawin' by then. Now I need to save for the stand.

I started making Steve Ramsey's stackable sawhorses tonight. Learned how to use my circular saw. Also to follow cut lists carefully...Still have all of my appendages so it was a good night despite having to run to HD tomorrow to pick up 2 more 2x4s b/c of my mistake. Good thing these ones are only $3.70 each.

When you have your sawhorses built, just place them side by side and screw or clamp an appropriately-sized chunk of 3/4" plywood on top of them. There's your saw stand, all ready to go. :)

BTW we want to see pictures of the completed sawhorses. :)

Great!

I have a Bosch GCM-12SD on a GTA3800 and couldn't be happier with the setup. Keep an eye on Acme Tool, they will occasionally have pretty good deals on this stand.

Enjoy your new saw.
