My boss has authorized the purchase of a miter saw.
We mostly work with 2x4 material, occasionally wider or 1x material, but nothing thicker.
I don't need a stand. I have a $200 budget before tax.
For that price, I can get a 12" non sliding or a 10" sliding. I'm leaning more towards the 10" sliding unit. My belief is the 10" slider gets me more capacity for wider boards, but the 12" would be better for 4x4 or crown molding type material.
Am I correct in this?
Lowe's has a nice Kobalt that fits the bill.

Any experience with that saw?
Any other recommendations?
