I have / are considering purchasing a car in the States and importing it out here. I do import a fair bit of stuff for the Model A.

Our $ is about 76 cents right now.

Some more engine pictures for the fastback 1966. Hard to decide weather to put money into something of inherent value that you can enjoy or just watch it smolder until it bursts into flames. When I was there in 1991 our money was pretty close from what I can remember. Don't know what the actual value is now but it seems like it buys only one third of what it did back in 2008. Should be some indication that the Victoria will only bring around $17,500 now and it should bring $22,000 in its current condition, and that's on the world market.

Here are some engine pictures (hope I did not post already) One is in the rat rod and I know I posted it in the truck. This is while under construction and shows better detail. The other engine is the one that was in my wrecker. I found that a nice cruising truck as it has a B carburetor and manifold and a higher speed rear. The dealer who traded me the new car for it has since decided not to build a showroom and sold the truck. I had first refusal to buy it back but the money was not there, and still isn't. The other picture is of my 1930 Model AA dump truck in its original condition. It worked the copper mines in AZ and is still in original condition. Has a hydraulic dump and a four speed transmission.

that Victoria is really nice. I too wish I could afford it. on the first pic of the motors (the rat rod engine I think), what is the device below the fuel filter? a cut off valve? looks like it has a wire running to it.

That is a shut off in line that will automatically shut the gas off when the ignition is turned off. They work great as long as you do not install backwards which is easy to do. Used to cost $50 don't know what they are now.

This is my design. Works great for rebuilding shift tower especially when it has been painted and has a new chrome shift. Bolts to bench and flips over to become a mount for disassembly of axel carrier. That side of it is built similar to the KRW tool.

Those crankshafts (A model) are actually hanging from underneath the bench top. Two pcs. of angle iron facing each other and they slide in keeping them straight and from falling over. Also helps make the bench more steady from the weight.

Picture of distance is a 1939 Jacobs wind generator that I dragged home from Kansas and in the foreground (same picture) are solar panels in a grandstand array that provide most of my power in the house. I designed and built the system.

Does that pump have the "dial a grade" feature?

It's a Bennett 686? I believe. Has the little propeller that swirls when gas goes through (at least it used to) only SONOCO as I recall had the select grade but I could be wrong. I restored this pump and primed it with zinc chromate but the red paint needed to have etching primer over the zinc and I did not know it at the time. Pump is lighted to come on at night with photo cell but no working motor. Looks real cool lit but changing the bulb is a pain what with the spiders and snakes that like to take up residence inside. One day I will make an inside recreational room so the gang can sit around and tell lies. That is if there are enough of us still alive who are not still wrenching to tell them. No youth here interested in learning anything but how to live free (as in free load not freedom) at least I have not had anyone knocking on my door to be mentored. I'm not really bitter but it's just a shame you can't find anyone to pass the knowledge on.

beautiful homestead. do you use the silo for anything? storage of parts, or grain? your front door does look typical of the region. only been twice-in '66 to visit my uncle sam on the way to cuba and in '08 to visit friends in mt.pleasant.
wish we had stayed longer.

More pictures of Marvel Mystery Oil upper engine drip oiler 30's vintage oiler for valve/engine through the intake. I figure I get 5 more horsepower with this setup on my Rat Rod pickup with the hopped up engine. In any case it looks cool. The other picture is a vintage 1928 era gas on wood kitchen stove that keeps me toasty when it's cold. We have modern heat of course but this is old bones warming heat.

Just bought a vintage The Boss #25 Armstrong Power Hammer for the shop. It was built about 1915 and will need to be rebuilt and maybe a design modification as wood was used in its construction. Like to keep it original but need it to function and be safe. It was original run off a line shaft. I will also have to make dies for it. Should keep me busy for the rest of the hot weather till I can get back to the fastback in the fall and have it ready for the spring shows. I need to free up some room and give up some of my model A's so I can put up my lift in the main garage. I will post pictures of the power hammer when I get it here. Still looking for a vintage Weaver mechanical tire changer. PM me if you know of one or some blacksmith tools such as a cone and a swage block. thanks Bobby

pictures of The Boss 25 lb power or trip hammer. I am planning on restoring it using the Oak like original. Have the new block cut already carved it out of a log. Will not be able to set it up on a line shaft though no room for that. Have to mount a motor but first have to find a motor.

Very cool. Love the old tools like that. One of my dreams was to set up a shop with a line shaft and drive it with an old tractor.
