Just awesome, thanks for sharing.
Engine installed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Transmission, parking brake sys., Hurst shifter and reverse switch, speedometer cable. My back is taking a beating!
I just built an adjustable leveling engine hoist. I will post pictures after it is blasted and painted; Ford blue of course.
This is my adaptation of the engine hoist I borrowed from a friend. This tool works great. It is used by bolting to the intake manifold. I put the 289 complete with transmission (4speed top loader) in the 66 GT with the one I got from my buddy but in building my own I did some of my own tests and determined that the design needed some improvement. I used mine to pick up the whole front end of the GT. You can track the hook eye from one end to the other while the engine/trans. is in the air. I was able to put the whole thing in without making a scratch on the paint inside the engine compartment. Didn't paint it Ford blue though. Had some paint left over from the Walker jack build and thought it more appropriate! Not only that I am too frugal to waste paint. (did I say cheap)
Dan how's the weather up north? Looking to head out to the cold country for the holiday. Hear it is supposed to be in the low 60's next week. Burrrr!
The old saying, "If you don't like the weather in New England, wait a minute" has been true so far this year. pictures of sawmill thickness planer. This machine will plane 16" wide by 6" thick. Very heavy. Got tired of messing with toys.
