Bobby, from the pictures it looks "cleaned up" to me. Then again, you probably haven't seen my workshop. When I get the piles down to a single layer, job done.

Bob it's amazing how much stuff you find in those bottom layers. I just found two sets of some Model B Ford stuff that I just bought duplicates. :lol_hitti

While waiting for the ground to dry so I can move the last of the heavy items I thought some of you might appreciate what can be done with one of these Bolens Garden tractors. This attachment was buried under some of the can't throw it away pile.

BB: i've seen some of those old saws in action. i bet OSHA would love to stop by while a guy or two or three were working around one of those.

i'm not sure if you need to build another building or sell or get rid of some of your stuff. i'm at the point that i almost want to give stuff away so i can find the stuff i like and want to work with and betting that might be you too?

speaking of wet here in the PNW from last September to this May we set an all time rainfall record for amount since they started keeping records. I finally finished a re sodding project that a Critter did some damage on last fall cause i hate working in mud and it's almost the middle of June and i still haven't had to water my lawn. i'm still not certain what did this damage to my front yard so i think i'm going to borrow a game camera and see if it comes back.

i'm waiting for another good quote from you to put in my sig line so let me know if you have one another one you like.

Drives good observation. "We spend so much time picking up new projects to do we have little time to do the projects we want to pick up and do!"

Looks to me like a wild hog was rooting around in your lawn? Nice yard you have there by the way.

BB: I would say HOG, BADGER, BEAR or something to that nature cause i fixed 2 other times it stopped by and just left it after the last one to make sure it's gone (hoping it is). funny thing though i live about 15 minutes from downtown SEATTLE so not a lot of those Critters around here. i did have a mole about the same time show up and then leave and wondering if he and his friends might have just decided easier to get the grubs from above than from below. GO FIGURE??

thanks for the KUDOS and i'm in charge of the grass and i just help buy and plant the other stuff that my bride manages most of the time.

maybe we should make a goal to have our shops ORGANIZED by this time next year? it's taking me a while to get my head around not NEEDING so many supplies, but projects get delayed from just moving stuff around.

cheers and have a great day!!

Drives: OSHA really doesn't care until a company has 6 or more employees.:D So two or three guys is not an issue.:willy_nil

You don't have armadillos up there, do you? One solution to your problem may be to spread insecticide to kill the grubs. That's the best way to get rid of moles, but it kills beneficial insects too.

I'm ahead of you, I'm going to have my shop all cleaned and organized any day now.:rocker:

Yeah, X2 on the nice grass.

Bobby,
Doing good on the cleanup and it is always interesting to see what you uncover and show us.

Looks like you need to put the green bucket to use in post 1153. It is that time of year.

Dwight My wife has decided not to pursue making ice cream. There is a bucket on ebay like it with a $250 buy it price. I would sell this one for a lot less. It is like new. I don't believe it has ever been used.

BB: great start to your ORGANIZING. i too wonder how i'll move some of the things i have that are in my way some days. for my aches and pains i usually cure them by using my inversion table for 5 minutes a day and i'd recommend one to everybody.

my 84 year old mom was taking pain pills and since she was a nurse she wanted to see what her Dr. said and even after an MRI he couldn't find anything wrong so instead of taking a shot he offered she came to my home to hang 5 minutes a day 6 days a week for a month and after 10 days she was off the pain medicine and after a month it's been 2 years and she's pain free for the most part.

keep up the great work and isn't it nice to see what you own so you can either use it, trade it, sell it or just know what you have?

cheers

Drives be very careful using inversion because I hear it has been known to aggravate? conditions that bring on stroke. I would give you more detail but I am not a doctor but do suggest you and your mom consult one about using it if you haven't already. :dunno:

BB: i've been using my inversion table for 9 years now almost daily for 5 minutes a day. only issue i had is when i changed it's location out of our living room where i'd been using it for 7 years to my old office that is my gym now and i ended up not timing my hanging. instead of setting a timer on the microwave in our kitchen i could hear from my chair i timed my hangs in my gym by doing suduko puzzles. when i got a new suduko book the medium level ones took 10 minutes to complete instead of the old book's mediums only taking 5 minutes. so i was hanging 10 minutes a day and stretched my Achilles too much and it took several months to heal.

now i use my cell phone to time my hanging and still do suduko puzzles while hanging for the 5 minutes.

i haven't heard of the stroke issues you mention, but i know that when you first start hanging you have to work up to the 5 minutes cause you need to get used to all the blood going to your head, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

thanks for the heads up, but i'll keep hanging instead of going to the chiropractor or taking a handful of Advil and i haven't seen any of them in about that many years since i've been hanging. i didn't go to the doctor for my Achilles and just let it heal and i think the last time i was at a doctor's office was when i had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago.

have you tried hanging? all inversion chairs are not the same so get one you like to use and i'd recommend a Teeter Up.

cheers

Drives I have using boots with hooks when I was younger. I find doing my Karate stretches daily works excellent. Only get headaches when I overwork my traps with my hands over my head then I can use trigger point or shiatsu message to make it go away. I take about 2 Excedrin a year when I used to have to take them daily. Hang in there. :lol_hitti

BB: yep stretching everyday will keep you movin so they don't throw you in a jar or dirt on you in a casket. :D

I had a Japanese Shiatsu for my only remedy for pain for close to 20 years. i never ever walked in and told him where it hurt and he ALWAYS found it. i'm not sure he knew more than about a dozen words of English, but the little man had MAGIC HANDS. i was never late for his hour appt. cause if you were you'd get that time deducted from your time. show up 10 minutes late you get a 50 minute appt. for an hour's charge. i think i was 5 minutes late and found that out and was never late again cause he was AWESOME.

I'd upgrade to an inversion table from those boots cause at our age getting off the hook might KILL US.

cheers

Just do my training stretches any more and when my ankle feels right I will do some kata but no more weights or machines. I gave that up twenty five years ago as I found it was encumbering my flexibility.

BB: i know a lot of very strong guys that are very very flexible, but i hear you there is more work to keeping or getting more flexible if you have more muscles.

are you going to restore that old TANDEM BIKE? i've never ridden one and looking forward to with my bride some day maybe at a vacation spot where there's a view to take in so at least one of us can just pedal and admire the view.

good luck and are you planning on riding it or just spiffing it up so you can get another old project finished that's been on your TO DO LIST for a while maybe?

cheers

I have never ridden one either. I plan to try it and see if it looks like something we would keep up. If not, I may sell it of maybe just hang it up like a picture on the barn wall.

Sounds like a nice memory Andy.

Especially now that we can't do things like that.

They are easy to ride, just get Ginny to sit rigidly while you get your balance (or the other way around) and the extra mass makes it easier to balance. I prefer to ride in teh back, the view is better, but I had to ride in the front to steer.

Andy thanks for the tips they will come in handy. I will probably ride in the back also to make sure Ginny is peddling. :dunno:

Went to a big auction for tractors and tools etc. this weekend and would you believe I bought nothing. I did find a nice small dumpster that would have fit my forklift great but the old fella I was with was getting tired so I passed on waiting for the auctioneer to get to it.

Been raining here so I finally got to run the extra outlets I needed in the machine shop. Got some good ones this time so the old plugs don't fall out. Yeah I do know the roof is leaking. My roofing guy has been promising me for a month to take care of it. When it is fixed I plan to paint the ceiling white. I know it will spoil the rustic appearance but I need to see!:dunno:

Bobby, in painting your ceiling white you will not know yourself it makes a huge difference..

Regards

I did the whole shop in the Model A shop and it is so much more comfortable to work in. Like the rustic look but not too practical for tired eyes. Like to do the machine shop but too many heavy machines to move around.

Started building back steps to replace my cement blocks. Long overdue but the 100 degree heat index about took me out. Got a whopping heat stroke headache and five hours of sleep but was at it at 6am this morning (pictures of todays work tomorrow as it needs to stay covered in this heat.) Five hours today with the early start and I faired much better. These pictures are of the start up foundation.
