I'm working on modifying my DCPW550 Power Cleaner. Out of the box it works fine for my particular situation. I didn't like the location of the inlet filter and have read that some folks have had it break. I removed the inlet filter and installed the SS hose (3/4"GHT). It threaded on easily, no problem. On the opposite end of the SS hose I wanted to install the filter and here's the mystery. It won't thread on correctly. I installed a quick disconnect fitting (3/4" GHT) and it threaded on correctly. I don't understand how this can be? I know that 3/4" NPT & 3/4" GHT are not interchangeable.

I could just keep it as pictured, eliminating this filter. I'll be using distilled water from a dedicated container so contamination should not be an issue. Ideally I would like to keep the filter.

Any ideas as to what's going on?IMG_5030.JPG

After hours of searching, the inlet is 3/4" IPT. Ordered the correct adapter fittings and will confirm tomorrow if they actually work.

Picked up some fittings at Lowes. I do have some on order so that I can reduce the amount of fittings by the inlet filter. So far so good....power cleaner plumbing1.jpgpower cleaner plumbing2.jpg
