Back from the dead again! Was poking around Toolguyd tonight, got me thinking about the rotary tool. Anyone tried to fit one with a 1/4" collet? Is it maybe possible?

I haven't seen or heard of anyone using a 1/4" collet with the M12 rotary tool. Its native collet size is 1/8".

For a 1/4" collet size, you'd probably have to move up to an 18V die grinder.

What I'm really looking forward to trying out is the new M12 band saw.

I dunno, a nice carbide bur will cut pretty easy, you wouldn't have to push it that hard. That way all the burs you use in your shop corded die grinder could also be used in the M12

Do we have anticipated retail on the band saw?

Yes, but some over-ambitious users may attempt to use larger 1/4" accessories and blame Milwaukee when it doesn't work as expected.

No ETA just yet, but from what I've seen/heard, bare-tool will be $140 or so, kit will be $200.
