Targa: nice looking Hazet tool box and i bet it will hold a ton of tools. do you have some Hazet tools to put inside it? also where do you live cause we don't see Hazet tools much around here so maybe you're in the UK or ??

I am located in Norway where there is quite a lot of Hazet available. I do have some tools to fill in, and always looking for more:)

"Lucky" for me I am only collecting the early tools....

TARGA: i'm 100% Norwegian and i've yet to find my way to your country. now there is another reason for me to go there and i'm sure my baggage will have some room for some good tools if we ever get to fly again.

thanks for sharing and looks like you are well on your way to filling that one up and I love those old cloth tool pouches.

Wout: have faith the world will have a new normal soon. we should have always been practicing washing hands and not touching our faces and this social distancing isn't always a bad thing so maybe some good will come out of all this PANICDEMIC 2020.

in the meantime maybe it's time to make a few things and that big shop/garage of yours?

i'm working that direction towards the garage and yard projects again now that i've got my gym inside my house organized a bit better so I can work out easier.

Wout: great project with your son and I bet he loves it and he'll remember those skills you taught him later when he wants to put a motor on that or make a go cart.

Seconded@Wout. Great job, on a few different levels. The boy will understand the time, skills and effort to do a good thorough job, and be proud. Nice work sir.

Nice first aid kit

I have these (valve adjusting?) wrenches I believe are quite rare.
What's interesting is that there is no Hazet stamped in the wrench, only the stickers identify them as Hazet.
Also, the fact they are Imperial/SAE makes them un-common.
I have only found them in the 1954 catalog:

Nice:)

Would you mind sharing where you bought this 'Blaze Cut'?
I got a Beetle myself, a 1967 Brazilian made 1300

Picture taken the day it was shipped from Brazil to Norway.

Congrats on the 67! Mine is a 68 1200 model. Why did you import one from Brasil cause here are a lot of older beetles and busses imported from Norway/Sweden.

Baught the Blaze Cut locally at an aircooled performance parts suplier.

Wout

I have lived and worked around 15 years in Brazil, this Fusca (Beetle) was a project and later a daily driver before shipping it as moving asset when returning to Norway.

It was quite rough when found, but as I had a business with workshop facilities, I was able to do all the work myself over a period of one year +/-.

I will look for the Blaze Cut locally as well:thumbup: thank you

Wout: i'm not sure how that Bosch tool works, but does it really run off 220v?

also I had to GOOGLE "BLAZE CUT" and it is what it sounds like. are you worried about a fire starting in your engine?

nice work on the starter and installing the BLAZE CUT.

Targa: if you'd like to go in your GJ profile and put in your area or country some of us reading your posts might understand your questions better if you have any.

looks like you've been traveling the world and nice looking VW BEETLE.

so if you might have a thought on this which is favorite place for you to hang your hat (call home) Brazil or Norway? or would you prefer living in Brazil in winter and Norway in summer if you could?
