Any idea how Morton attaches the insulation for the walls to the 2x4 that gets attached to the top of the wall?

They pre attach the insulation to a 2x4 somehow...then they hang it....cant see in video how it is exactly attached before it is hung.

I was able to purchase the 8' wide insulation, now I just need to install it

Thanks

I tried to copy Morton when I did mine.

Take a look at my build.

Not sure how they did it, but this was quick and easy for me, and I could do the whole job by myself.

How were you able to buy it? I called a Morton dealt close to me and they said the didn't sell. They only used it in the buildings they build.

I got lucky I think. The Morton shop manager held on to some leftover rolls until they had enough, then I bought them.

I'm pretty good at convincing people that they want to help me out. LOL.

There are other places that sell the wide stuff, its been mentioned on here before.

Yeah, the Morton guy said they buy it by the rail car.

They sold it to me...I got r19 for about $650 to do my 12x30x40. I have since found out that was a steal.

My shop is 32x24 and I haven't found anything under $1200 and up.

there are a few lumber yards in my area that sell it. some sold 4' wide and others sold 8' wide. Id try grabbing a phone book and check the yellow pages, some times thats easier than the internet lol

Cheap 1x2 furring strips. I screwed them to the end before measuring the length of the blanket. I put a spacer underneath to set the cross pieces at the right depth so they didn't over hang the inside of the header. I did have to predrill the small cleats, they would split if I didn't. Its in the pics.
