I am certainly a newbie to this site and I am not a professional as most folks on here. I perform periodic maintenance on my cars (oil changes, brakes, timing belt & waterpump every 100K, and whatever comes up) with my 20-year old Craftsman set. I was amused by some posts that folks wouldn't use a new set of tools because they're no longer made, or they don't want any scratches on the sockets
, or going UH and AHHHH over a set of pink handle Snap-On screwdriver set, etc, etc,
As with everything in life something is bound to be collectible (stamps, cars, coins, potteries, arts, guns, jewelry, etc, etc, etc, ....) and some of those items mentioned sold for huge amount of money on record at auction houses. The question I have for this forum is what's the most collectable hand tool(s) and what was the amount paid for it? I know that if something is rare and there's NO DEMAND for it, it's practically WORTHLESS.
