Most Compact Ratchet and Socket Holder/Case

Trying to find a very compact ratchet and socket case or holder to save space and weight in my go-n-fix-it bag. smaller jobs only so 1/4" or 3/8" size most likely the kind needed.

any ideas?

i saw one manufacturer (teng tools) that actually has made the idea i had several years ago myself.. one of those "why dont anyone make one like this"

http://catalogue.tengtools.com/webs...at_bid=T20&dokid=5285996&katnr=1&katsektnr=48

are there any other manufacturers that make something similar?

as general observation..
it seems many of the "good" makers make their cases big and spacious and just waste the real estate inside there. if one would want a lot of tools in small case, you can only find it from the bargain junk toolsets. and in those. tools are well.. junk. and the case is often also subpar quality. (and if you would like to put your better tools in there the case is heatmolded only to fit the shape and size of their tools, not the ones you want to put in there)

----
teng tools. if you have never heard of them. tools are designed in sweden and made in taiwan. been around since early 90s if i recall right. aimed more into industrial markets in europe so they are not a bad quality tools.

don't think they could get smaller than that tengtool set
facom nano range are small ...

tengtools are not bad at all but prices are near german or french made tools,I prefer those

Teng is ok but their ratchets are not great, there is a Hazet set in 1/4" that is reasonably small and has a clever design.

that facom box looks interesting.. that idea to use the extension as carry handle. very cool.

if the tengtools holder would be available separately for fair price, i would get it. (that is, if could use another ratchet or sockets in it)

if the teng holder would have a flip-on closing lid on it, i would buy it. as is it is a bit too exposed to my liking.

but i think i kinda have to get one. to try out atleast if i dont find anything else like it. it is just clever compact idea.

about that craftsman box. not a bad box. (but not really what i am looking for) i do have tool bag of sort to carry the stuff with. and i would like to be able to downsize its innards and compartmentalize it better. if i can get rid of the extra bulk.. i can fit in more actual tools in there! hahah.

i do not like if the tools are stored freely in there ( i consider loops and such "free"). i dont want to waste space. and many ratchet set cases and like, have alot of wasted space inside them. but i would like to have the tools still in their own little boxes/holders or toolroll (wrenches and screwdrivers) so i can pick and pull one out and know what it has inside it.

individual sets inside a bigger module. no rattle. organized. compact.

I have the hazet smartcase, and love it. it goes anywhere I go. having said that, it's a bit overpriced for what you get. before you buy one from Jens Putzier, check all of his places, (ebay, web store, blog) because the prices can be inconsistent across his various outlets.

oh. yeah. i am from europe, so shipping european tools from a shop in usa normally isnt a good deal for me. (the shipping costs and the +20% tax they place on top the total price at customs)

edit: is jens putzier germany based shop? hmm.. will look into that.

That is the Hazet set I was on about, I was to lasy to find it myself and post a link.
I don't have one, my 1/4" stuff is a random assortment in a toolbox drawer.
