Do tell more! I like that setup.

This is one of those old factory buildings, this one was a coffee factory, that developers have started turning into loft apartments in downtown areas. My house was actually the loading dock for the adjacent building that is about 6 stories tall.

I have roommates who unfortunately are not yet convinced that we should turn the whole living room into a garage area....but I have convinced both of them to buy bikes! so now we park em out front and inside...I'll have to get a pic.

What kind of lift is that? Is it a pedal or air operated?

Yes, and yes. The pedal is on the other side, runs off of about 100 psi.

Bought it from Complete Hydraulics. The lift is actually pretty decent. But I wouldn't recommend buying from them. I ordered mine back in April, and got jerked around for over 6 months before I finally got it. And in the end, it didn't seem to bother them at all. It's a long, PITA story. If I had it to do all over again, I would have just bought it somewhere else.

Some good looking bikes, but not an SRAD in the bunch!

Yeah this was just weeks after they left. And a good clue as to the SRADkneedragger forum name.

Yeah I guess that's what the Sponsors were thinking too! But they kept pouring the cash into those invisible bikes.
There are a few other things rolling in and out of there

Not exactly "in" there but this is a home built solar heater to help with those cold winter days
shop001.jpg

After doing a ton of research on the net I decided this might be a viable project, as it turns out, it makes 134 degree air on most days that there is sun or it is mildly overcast. Unfortunately it is not large enough to heat the shop completely at this point. With no interior insulation the best it could manage was about a 10 degree temp increase. I'm hoping that with the new insulation and interior walls it will work better and the plan to build a second solar heater should help. Total build cost was under $100 so another heater for about the same $ and double the BTU's seems like a bargain to me. It is fan forced with a approximately 600 cfm pancake 110V fan. Next step is a small battery bank a charge controller and a homemade wind turbine to power the fan. Shop heat for free!

just had to set the new paint on the bike to see how it'll look. Hopefully this spring it will be back on the road for the first time in 20+ yrs.

My very modest single-car effort! But it gives me enough space to work on the bikes long into the night. 1934 BSA, 1948 BSA A7, 1954 Norton Manx (racebike) and my daughter's wee 1983 Suzuki DS80.

Gotta see some pictures of the bikes, especially the Manx. Someday I hope to find one for myself. Right now I'm settling for the very slow (I'm in to it about 2yrs, and still don't have a power plant) process of building a domiracer or triton.

Here's some shots of my bikes, garage is crowded with 6 vintage honda's a '63 Buick and '41 Ford. Hard to get good wide angle shots. Just upgraded electrical to 220 so can finally run my welder and compressor!

The bike is a 2006 Ducati Sport Classic 1000 monoposto. I'm the second owner and have been her boyfriend for a year and a half. My bike prior to her (and my first official bike) was an '81 Honda Goldwing 1100GL, naked.

Just acquired:

Does this picture look like the power pole and top of the shop are leaning to the left to anybody else?

I'm not into bikes that much, but I do like to look at them just the same. Thanks to all of you for posting your pictures, I've enjoyed looking through them.

Those 1098`s are awesome looking! How do you like it?

I like it a lot. It's fun to ride and I love to just sit and look at it. But Ducati ownership takes some getting used to. They're more finicky than a Japanese bike. But worth it to me.

What brand / model bike lifts or work tables would most suggest. I ride harleys and currently have a 2010 limited so it's big and heavy like me.
