Yours?I really love that bike! The paint scheme is one of my favorites. I looked at an 848 Evo Corse a few years back but ended up with this instead:
Since making it mine its had a complete suspension rebuild, set up for me specifically, and an EVR CTS full clutch package (this was a game changer; I'd never had a slipper before!).

Yes, wanted it since I first saw a picture of it. The problem is finding one, they are rarer than a Desmosedici.
I've got 4 Italian bikes, there's always 2 going through some form of maintenance and 2 that are rideable

Thanks, the Tricolore is amazing. With a full 70mm Termi system, map and tune, it dynoed with 171HP at the wheel. It's got far more performance than I'll ever use. I've also got a '14 MTS Pikes Peak that is a bit of Jekyll and Hyde. I ride 2-Up w/ Mrs. Trapps:

Wow, looks like a 999 behind the MV. With the 1198R, and the 998S you have covered the 916 lineage quite well! Tamburini is smiling down on your garage!
I am fortunate to live just 5 miles from Ducati Detroit. They have a Desmosedici RR up on a shelf. It is sublime in every regard.

Well, that is unusual for an owner of three. What made you decide to jump-in? Any have the front disc brake? The 3-1/2 has a Heron cyl head like an XK-E V-12. The combustion chamber is in the piston crown. My friend who is a GC has one, he bought it from the original owner, who was a co-worker of mine. He has Nortons, Triumphs, and BMW's (the GC).
I don't know what your background is, but your luck with these will probably be better if you find the most-experienced person you can find, to resurrect the most-likely candidate of them-all. Get one operable. While that's going on, take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation beginning rider course, so you don't harm yourself or the bikes you have. I suggest also learning to ride off-road, because then riding on the street will be a piece of cake. You will get much experience in traction on loose surfaces, braking on slippery surfaces, and even falling-off the bike. It will also teach you the importance of dressing properly. I never ride a bike without proper gear, and I suggest that if you do the same, your body will be the better for it. Here are some pics of a one-off, that will get you thinking.

I’m happy to see this thread alive after 12 years! From my original post in 2009 not much has changed - the FJ09 and R1 are new. The R1 is leaving as soon as we find the right Ninja 1000. I have some plans to replace the tool cart I keep in this area with a small roller cabinet. I’ve slowly been getting my tool storage reorganized.

So Neggy, where do you store the C14 bags?
I searched the photos but I don't see them anywhere.

since I have a 2003 and 2013 Harley touring bikes, I don't keep the bags on the C14, or the ZZR1200 I had before it, because if I am going somewhere I need to haul stuff, I am taking one of the chromed turds.
The bags are in my bedroom closet where they won't get damaged.... I will put them on if I need them to carry my rain gear if we are going on a ride and the weather is iffy
I miss the Cortech soft bags I had for my ZRX, that also got used on the ZZR... easy on, easy off, and you didn't have to worry about scuffing them with boots getting on and off the bike
Yes, they are all '74 3 1/2 sports. One is right side shift, the other two shift on the left using linkage. Having three of the same bike isn't very original but it does makes it easier.

Lot's has happened since I last posted in this forum ................
I no longer use photobucket , I started to get annoyed with the way it all worked so I closed my account .
I'm semi retired now and have more time to putter in the garage .
The shop layout has changed slightly and there are a few new additions.
Space is limited so I have rearranged everything a few times in search of the ultimate layout.

At the risk of over-sharing my small little bike shop too many times on this forum, here’s my 24’x24‘ space. I keep some of the bikes on the 4 post lift during the winter while I work on one bike at a time.
If I had more space, I’d have more bikes…

...Anybody that is lucky enough to have a vertical mill and a Lathe (south Bend?) needs to get their drill press and vise up off of the floor.
I'm sure that's an old photo and these discrepancies have been corrected by now...right? Please overshare some more as time allows.

The 2x4s helped me to keep the minibike out of harm’s way and fills some empty space that was just going to waste 8’ in the air, over the hood of my Jeep…
The lathe is a South Bend that I’ve had for 20+ years. I believe that it’s a Heavy 10 Toolroom Model…
You‘re spot on with your assessment of the apparent negligence of the tilting machine vise and the Delta Rockwell drill press. The vise did make it onto the relative safety of the 4 post lift, along with my arbor press…
Unfortunately, the drill press is still hanging out in limbo. I have plans to build a small bench for it beside the lathe, but there’s currently a freshly built Willys F-134 engine occupying that spot.

I have wondered where you've been. I love seeing pictures of your shop and various projects. Congrats on being semi-retired. I somewhat envious of that.
