It's funny the details you see that make you pause to consider how your brain works: This is the first time I've seen a load center mounted on its side, and it makes me realize I would never think to mount one that way, even it made a ton of sense for that particular installation. I'd knock out a wall, move three beams, or tear the house down and start over before it occurred to me that I could just turn the thing sideways!

I've ridden a lot of bikes, but the only one that legitimately scared me was a Gas Gas EC300. This was about 2011ish, when they still had the Ohlins suspension. I had just finished the poker run prior to that year's Desert 100 (big, crazy desert race on the east side of the state), was loading my bike up (250F), when my friend and local dealership owner rides by on their demo EC300, spots me, and asks me if I wanted to try it out.

YUP!

Not wanting to bother with all of my gear, I threw on my helmet and boots and headed out onto the course, giving it the beans all the way up through the gears. The acceleration was so addicting that it took a bit for me to realize that I was going WAY too fast for that kind of terrain and very limited protective gear. It was superbike levels of acceleration! Going that fast over ruts and rocks wasn't something I had ever considered possible. I slowed it way down, turned around, and brought it back to the truck with my tail between my legs. Guess I'm not man enough for that kind of machine!...

I'm in the renovation business and it's pretty common to see breaker panels on their side like mine. Especially in homes that were upgraded from a smaller fuse panel as often the wires are only long enough to reach to the new breaker locations if the panel is turned side ways to keep the required reach of the wires shorter. That way you can wire all the existing stuff across the top of the panel and place all the new circuits on the bottom row of breakers.

I had a 2011 GasGas EC 250. Lots of great riding and racing on that bike. That was the highlight of my hare scramble career, on that bike. I still miss that bike.

3-‘74 sports. One done, one half done, one in pieces. The Strada with the blue tank is also a ‘74 (upright bars, smaller drum brakes, 2 person seat). The disk bike is a 77.
I’d like to convert the 77 to an electric bike. Find a crashed Zero electric moto and switch the parts over. It would make a fun, around town bike.

That’s an incredibly clean bike! I like the 914 too! I’ve always had a soft spot for those strange little Porsches.

I gave up trying to find a stand for my Van Norman boring bar so I made one.

I bore cylinders as needed , one less thing to outsource.

Oh .........and no laughing at the use of a hole saw to bore those three holes in the 1.25" steel top , I took my sweet time and the hole saw survived to cut more holes the next time I need to cut a 4.5" hole.

I used Klotz 2 stroke oil in the injection tank on my Kawasaki Samurai A1SS . No better smell.

The Suzuki is everything I hoped and more. We had a 2012 Ninja 1000 that we loved and this newer one has all of the goodness of that old one and is better and more refined. Truly we have been blessed with amazing bikes.

For years she would bungee a bag onto her GSXR and make long trips. We ordered the Ninja so she would have more comfort and hard bags. Then the Suzuki came out and we had to have it. The delivery date for the Ninja was next March but it showed up suddenly, so things are very good lately. She is away on a trip so I’m breaking the Ninja in for her.

I built a mount out of an old hitch receiver I had laying around. I have since insulated and finished the walls in this room with styrofoam and strapping, but the grinder mount is still bolted to the concrete through the wall.

My friend and I got stupid last summer and started a lawn-mower racing event at our local sports day. It's like motorbiking but louder and harder on your kidneys... My son and I are in the middle with friends/family on either side.

We have been sending pictures and videos of this mower around our group. We joked about it happening at our little race and then needing a class for them to race in. Apparently, it isn't a joke as we have heard rumours that someone is putting a 600cc motor into a "lawnmower" in our little town. I'll just make him his own trophy...
