The price difference is interesting??
Mine was the best money I ever spent, not only does it work for the motorcycle, but also for lawnmowers etc, and it makes a damn nice adjustable workbench/welding/fab table.

Yep looks just like my Direct Lift also. Had mine for 8-9 years, wouldn't be without it, should have had it back when we used to wrench on snowmobiles every day after school.
This one would be $915 delivered. Are these that much better than the ones at Harbor Freight? They are 1000 and 1500lb lifts also but $400 or $500.

WAY better than the ones from HF. Some people do it, but my Harley is NOT going on one of those POS HF lifts.

WAY WAY better than a HF lift. I actually ordered a HF lift...when it finally arrived...I refused it because it was not what I expected it to be. The complete hydraulic lift is four times the lift that the HF is. I am very happy with it. I paid $599.00 plus tax for the TCMLW and picked it up myself and saved the freight charge.
I found this interesting due to space. Never used it. Been using a Sears jack for years. Not sure if I can justify a full table lift or not. You still need a jack for changing tires.

The narrow is nice for saving room. But guys say the wide ones are nice, because you can use it like a work bench. For the price you get more with the other ones, but size is a limiting factor.
My garage is 20x20. Vehicles stay outside, and I got a pole barn. So its two bikes and tools and benches. It fills up fast.
The one in the first pic, it looks as if the sides could fold down. If thats the case, you would save alot of room for storage.

The wide ones are nice if you have large touring bikes. My HD bagger is wide enough that you cannot put your feet down on a 24" wide lift, and you sure as hell can't push it on the table by hand. The 48" lift allows me to ride the bike onto the lift and either run it into the wheel clamp or put the sidestand down on the lift.

I use a Handy Lift for my GL1800 (Honda Gold Wing). The Handy Lift is pretty much the standard lift you see in motorcycle shops. I have an older one, I would definitely get one with the trap door to allow easy rear wheel removal.
I've got the two side extensions, which I would recommend if you are handling a large bike.

That looks identical to the one sitting in my shop. As mentioned, this one is (IMO) much better than the HF units (which I was looking at as well). The x-lifts (or scissor lifts) are much nicer than the "swing" lifts, because the bike stays put as it lifts up. The lift is pretty much a direct vertical lift, whereas the other lifts (like the one below) "swing" the bike up/back and down/forward as you lift:
Though I've not used / seen one, one of these from HF may be an ok unit:
The drop away wheel access may be nice for Goldwings, big baggers, etc. I don't know that I'd use it for my bikes.
The wings and ramps are very nice and handy. I've used mine for motorcycles, riding mowers, quads, etc. With the ramps attached, however, the table -rapidly- becomes a junk collection point (for me). It's just too convenient to "just put it right here for now", and before you know it, it's covered. For that reason, and for space consideration, I keep the wings removed from the lift and stored under my workbench until needed.
All in all, if you have the means, I recommend picking one up. You'll find a variety of uses for it if you have it. I traded a go-cart for mine, several years ago.
