More road bikes than mountain bikes, although I have several mountain bikes as well. This is my walk out basement bicycle workshop, this shows about half of it. Its really more bike storage than workshop.
I am in the process of transitioning to a temporary workshop, using one unit of a duplex we just bought, while I rehab the other side. Once I get one unit done, I'll start on the workshop side, then finally build a "real" workshop. The duplex is really beat, but has potential.
The living room on the duplex is becoming bicycle storage. The kitchen is the main work area, while the front office is bike frames to be built, and the back bedroom is a tools/parts room. I need to build several more bike racks, plus some parts storage racks.
Everything I am building in the temporary work area is mobile, nothing permanently attached, so it can go into the "real" workshop someday.
Here's my first prototype bike rack. I plan to put three of them in the living room, two this size, and one about 2X this size. Need to come up with a separate rack for wheels and frames.
I typically work on vintage road bikes, but I picked up this folder last week (hey, the guy was selling a bench vise for $5, so as long as I was there, why not pick up a folder).
Note the $99 HF roller cart in the background, perfect for my bicycle tools.
